Thank you @garrisonartcenter for once again opening your printshop to us to edition the 5th grade prints from our partnerships @southaveschool and @jvffalcons The students always love coming to a professional printshop. As always some extremely hard working and talented @beaconcityhs students joined us and even hand printed their 2’x2’ woodblocks.
We are so grateful to our partnerships with @garrisonartcenter @beaconcityschool

Huge shout outs to Ms. Griffin, Ms. Berger and Mr. Perez for all showing up to support and print with their students. We have some ideas brewing for next year on how to grow these special post steamroll event printing sessions …stay tuned!

Thank you to @artsmidhudson and @beaconarts for your continued support.

Thank you @secondwavesupplies the paper we used was all purchased there for such a deep discount. We are lucky to have you in our community as a constant resource.

This project is made possible with funds from the New York State Legislature and administered by Arts Mid-Hudson.

This year’s @southaveschool 5th graders have been asking when their artwork was going to be exhibited on Main St!

Huge shout out to Berg + Moss for extending our show and allowing us to exhibit this year’s exquisite corpse mythical beast collaborative prints. The linocuts exhibited here were printed in their art class at school by hand. Every single South Ave 5th grader has their print in this show!!

Stop by and see the work that will be up through 12/2 at 473 Main St in Beacon.

We love our continued partnership with @southaveschool and @beaconcityschool

Thank you to Ms. Berger for collaborating with and welcoming Roll Out’s teaching artist @lalaadelman

*DETAILS of some of the brilliant work in our Baggage Claim show.

Come see these pieces in their entirety, some completed and others in progress shown alongside work that was abandoned and deemed a failure or older work, the art that may have pushed the artist down their current path.

The show opens February 14, with live music by @jordanmuuzic. The Yard, 4 Hanna Lane, Beacon, NY.

Thank you @yellowswagger we love these photos and your words!

Repost from @yellowswagger
Thank you @roll_out_beacon, @openstudios_beacon and @theyardbeacon for an incredible weekend of art, collaboration and community! I never knew how much fun printing could be, let alone while using a steam roller! This art event was so special because not only was it intergenerational, it also brought together artists at all different levels to create small and really large works in a very community centered environment. I don’t consider myself a visual artist and screen printing is new to me- but I carved a yellow tail and I had a ton of fun with it- and the shirt print that I made came out much better than I could have anticipated! I look forward to more of the roll out, and events like this that make Beacon feel so special. (I also look forward to spending more time on that steam roller hehehe)

Last month we hosted our very first Print Show with the multi talented folks of @roll_out_beacon. Thank you to the @theyardbeacon for providing us with a gorgeous gallery space, the perfect backdrop to the work- both small and impressively oversized!

Thanks to @pierce.allen for the live music🎸@beaconarts for their support🧾, our gallery sitters @m.s.eberhart and @polyphemus.polly🪑 and @daddy.long.limbs, @john_menzie and @ulfy for being excellent team members🪜⚒️💡

💕 Our figure drawing fundraiser, like the one taking place this Sunday with @skylaschreter.dance, make art shows like the Print Show possible. If you cannot attend, consider purchasing a ticket anyway ($23) via link in bio. We make the donated seats available to the community. 💕

At our tiny but mighty organization we have been busy getting creative and building our internal programming that creates opportunities for young women around the country to learn how to use art as advocacy and build relationships through the similarities of our lived experiences.

Participants who engaged in our Collaborative workshops with our community partners @progenyict in Kansas, @boldfutures in New Mexico, @artistic_noise in New York, and our very own roundtable project from Amplifying Voices previously known as IAW’s YJAM Project participated in our newly launched Emerging Leaders Incubator Program 🌟🐣ELI🐣🌟

During our time together we engaged in 6 months of sharing stories, building relationships, learning together, writing, and creating art. 🎨 In honor of our amazing work together we made a collective zine highlighting our ELI cohort from this year and the art pieces we created. 📕📕📕

Check out our new zine !!! The 🔗 is in our bio((:
Feeling called to uplift our work and fund the youth leaders of today you can donate 🔗 is also in the bio. 🐥🐓

Onwards we go! 🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥
