Don’t miss the opportunity to be on a 7 acre estate in Beverly Hills. Plus, enjoy a Watercolor Workshop and have a creative experience. This is a win-win. Sign up in bio.

Took an once in a life time unexpected trip to Europe and it became one of my most rewarding and meaningful experiences yet. Full-filled many of my must see locations but more importantly, meeting such loving and wonderful Hmong people in France which made me more humble and appreciative of life and what it offers. Nine years ago, I packed my things and moved to Los Angeles with nothing but my hopes and dreams (and a car full of stuff, but whatever). I’d known there was a small but growing community of HMong folks here but finding and connecting with every one of them ended up being tougher than I expected. But with the biggest chip on my shoulder (thanks, Fresno), I kept going—I knew there were other people like me out here and that they also wanted connection.

Never in a million years did I expect that I’d be organizing and hosting a HMong New Year event—but here we are! I am surrounded by strong, courageous, tenacious, and beautiful souls who have decided to make LA their home. These are the faces of a resilient HMong community and I will always feel at home with them.

And to those of you who want to make LA your home, whether it’s for your career, your passion, or just a change of scenery: welcome. We are happy to have you. Zoo siab txais tos nej!

So let’s all raise a glass and cheers to 2024 — may we continue to live up to the greatness that runs in our blood. Nyob zoo xyoo tshiab!

I want to publicly acknowledge and give thanks to the following people without whom this event would not have been such a success!

@brewyardbeerco — thank you so much for allowing us into your space. We love supporting Asian-owned businesses and can’t wait to work with y’all again!

@tracyhangco and @hlubtray — thank you so much for letting us use your beautiful greenery wall. It’s such a beautiful piece and really anchored the spot.

@kashadaleina and @idripglitterx — thank you so much for building us a custom “Happy HMong New Year” sign! Everyone loved it and I can’t wait to build an even bigger one next year!

@sweets_life18 and @xwmyaaj — thank you guys so much for the AMAZING kua txob! Lowkey drooling thinking about how good it was 🤤
