I love a big apple-picking morning just like the rest of us, but sometimes your family just needs a low-pressure local outing with farm feels, fall vibes, and plenty of pumpkins to pick 🎃🍂

You know I always post about @landssake, and they’re one of our favorites for exactly that. It’s small enough to feel manageable, but there’s plenty to keep the entire family happy for an hour or two: pumpkins and gourds to choose from, animals to check out, plenty of fresh air and good vibes, a swing and cozy coups, and more.

The farmstand is always part of the visit, too. Between the locally sourced produce, baked goods, and seasonal treats, we usually find something to bring home along with our pumpkins (and snack on during the trip - during the summer it’s popsicles, this time was popcorn!).

It’s free to visit, easy to keep low-key, and a good reminder that sometimes a little farm morning is all you need. 🧡

🍎 Our Orchard Refresher SOLD OUT today! 🥳

Today, we spent a quintessential New England Fall Saturday at the lovely @landssake farm in Weston, MA.

The farm stand is overflowing with fresh produce, pumpkins, apples, and even apple cider donuts from @blackbirddoughnuts . 🍎🎃🍩

Visit the farm animals, pick your own flowers, bring the family for a picnic, and enjoy a fresh-squeezed refreshment from yours truly!

Nothing better than a fresh-squeezed refreshment and fall on the farm. 🤍🍋

Saturday mornings are for the fam ♥️

I’ve been living in this burgandy cardigan and love the subtle blue stripe where you would typically find white.

CSA pick up for the week 🥬🌽. I like to use these galvanized woven baskets for my CSA pick ups instead of regular grocery bags. It makes it easy to see and carry all of the produce around. I have three different sizes from @garrettwade_tools

These honey sticks are always a hit with my kids and are a little reward for tagging along with me.

Get ready, I will be obsessing over these suede and shearling boots all season. Predicting these will be a fav over uggs this year.

Lunch stop at @heirloomweston before nap and rest time. A fresh batch of cinnamon rolls came out as I was ordering and couldn’t resist.

Fun fact for locals: This place is peanut free. Unheard of for a high quality restaurant and bakery with a large menu. The allergy mom in me couldn’t feel more seen 🥰

Every fall I get the same question from people considering a move to Wellesley, MA or Greater Boston who want to get a feel for the area.

What are the best farms in the area to explore on fall weekends?

This is what I tell them….

Land’s Sake Farm in Weston, MA is truly a hidden gem with its annual Farm Fest every year. Think live music, baby farm animals, pizza trucks, ice cream, pumpkins and pies.

Gerard’s in Lincoln shows off its high end interior decor along side a selection of fall plants and the best apple crisp in MetroWest. Trust me it’s worth the drive.

Wilson farm has everything you need for Halloween - pumpkins, spooky goblins and outdoor decorations. Hot cider donuts and caramel apples are made fresh all day on the weekend.

Volante Farms in Needham to stock up on local and homegrown produce, great sandwiches, ice cream and of course pumpkins and mums.

Lookout Farm is your spot to go apple picking, hop on a hayride or take fall photos. Stick around for live music and outdoor dining to finish out the day.

This wedding felt like a period drama come to life.

Beautifully written characters. A fairytale setting. A story for the ages.

People from every chapter of their lives converged on one place, one afternoon, at The Estate at Moraine Farm. Friends who had never shared a room before shared a garden, a toast, a long exhale. Little ones in powder-blue suits climbed the groom. Someone tucked a single dahlia into their lap and held on. Girls piled on top of each other, hearts filled with love for @mmarabu

Nothing felt forced. A first look among the tall white blooms. A song played live at the altar. A lace mantilla catching the last of the autumn light. A recessional through a cloud of bubbles.

Effortless. Poetic. They slid from one storyboard to the next, and all I had to do was keep the frame open.
