🏆❤️ PLAYER OF THE MATCH & SUPPORTERS’ PLAYER OF THE MATCH 🖤⚽️ We evidently couldn’t just pick only 1 today ✨

We had some incredible performances today, so it’s time to give the girls the recognition they deserve! 👏🏼🔥

❤️🖤 PLAYERS’ OF THE MATCH

🔴 Bobbie Hirst✨ A rock at centre back! 🧱 Faced a seriously strong striker and stood her ground, making crucial challenges and showing exactly what it means to defend for your team. What a shift!

🔴 Pinders✨ absolutely solid at right back today! Defended brilliantly, put in the hard work and gave us a fantastic performance down that side. Didn’t ever stop, absolute powerhouse 💪🏽

🔴 Jess Wright✨ Absolutely brilliant at winning the ball back! 👏🏼 Battled for every challenge, got stuck in and showed real determination throughout the game. ❤️

⭐ Amy Humphrys✨ PHENOMENAL from start to finish! 🤯 She was absolutely everywhere on that pitch, using her body brilliantly to hold up play, battle for possession and bring others into the game. And, of course, she bagged TWO goals! 🔥 An all round unbelievable performance!⭐

⭐ Jess Rodgers✨ Incredible at winning the ball, with brilliant footwork to match! ⚡️ She caused problems throughout and topped it off with a cracking goal AND a penalty! What a performance! ⚽️⚽️

A massive well done to all five girls! ❤️🖤 The effort, determination and quality on show today made these choices so difficult. Thank you to everyone who voted and to our amazing sponsors for supporting the team! 🙌🏼

🔴⚫ FULL TIME | WE TAKE THE WIN! 5-4! ⚫🔴

WHAT A GAME! 🤯❤️🖤

Going 2-0 down in the first half, we knew we had a battle on our hands. It was a tough game away from home, but we dug deep, stuck together and started playing the football we KNOW we’re capable of. We fought our way back into it to head into half time at 3-3! 🔥

The second half was just as intense, with the ladies giving everything for each other until the final whistle. We showed determination, resilience and team spirit to come away with a massive 5-4 WIN! 🏆

Some really great football played by both sides today, but the three points are coming home with us! 👏🏼❤️🖤

🎙️ COACH TOM:
“Tough game away but we persevered and played some quality football and managed to secure the win!”

🎙️ CAPTAIN KIRKY:
“In a game that took us a while to warm up to, we showed we can dig deep and get a result when not playing at our best. Proud of the ladies today for keeping their heads up, grinding out a win.”

These are the games that show what we’re made of. We don’t give up, we fight for each other, and we keep going until the job is done. ❤️🖤

🧤 PLAYER OF THE MATCH | CHLOE WOOD 🧤

Despite the scoreline, there was absolutely no question about today’s Player of the Match. Chloe was outstanding between the sticks. 👏❤️🖤

She pulled off save after save, producing some genuinely incredible stops to keep us in the game. From sharp reflex saves at close range to diving stops and denying efforts that looked destined for the back of the net, Chloe gave everything from the first whistle to the last.

Her shot stopping, positioning and bravery were exceptional, and the scoreline does not come close to reflecting the performance she put in today.

Against a quality Division 1 side, she was tested relentlessly and she never stopped fighting, communicating and putting her body on the line for the team.

A huge performance from our number 1. 🧤🔥

Take a bow, Chloe. You were phenomenal. ❤️🖤

🏆 PLAYER OF THE MATCH | ALEX BRIGGS 🔥

What. A. Shift. 👏

Alex started the game out on the wing before being moved into an unfamiliar role at right back for the second half and absolutely owned it. 💪

She was assertive in the tackle, won ball after ball and constantly turned defensive situations into attacking opportunities. Every time Leeds Laces came forward, Alex was there to shut it down and then she was straight back up the pitch helping us attack.

And the engine?! 😮‍💨 Unreal. She just kept going, and going, and going. A relentless performance from start to finish. 🔥⚽️

👏 Deserved Player of the Match, Alex!

⸻

⭐ SUPPORTERS’ PLAYER OF THE MATCH | ALICE BUNCH

And our supporters have spoken! 🗳️👏

Alice takes the Supporters’ Player of the Match after another brilliant attacking display down the wing.

Chance after chance, cross after cross, Alice was causing problems every time she got on the ball, constantly looking to create something for the team. She played her socks off and never stopped pushing forward. ❤️🖤

A proper shift from Alice! 👏🔥

Two outstanding performances. Two very deserved awards. ⚽️❤️🖤 both available to sponsor for the season 🔥

FULL TIME: 23FC 5–1 LEEDS LACES ❤️🖤

We came into today knowing Leeds Laces would be a strong opposition, and the first half definitely tested us. It took us a little while to find our feet and settle into the game, but we went into the break 3–1 up and knew there was so much more to give.

Then came the second half… 👀🔥

We came out flying and started playing the football we KNOW we’re capable of. Lovely passing, great movement, confidence on the ball and some seriously good team football saw us dominate the second half and add another two goals to the scoreline.

⚽️ AMY x4 🤯🔥 What a shift! (Available to sponsor)

⚽️ Own goal - Alice with a BEAUTIFUL cross that caused absolute CHAOS in the box, eventually coming off a Leeds Laces player and finding the back of the net! 😂👏

A brilliant team performance, but especially proud of the way we responded after a challenging first half. We kept working, stayed together and came out in the second half looking like the team we know we can be. ❤️🖤

👏 Huge well done to @leedslacesfc a strong side who made us work for it, and we wish you all the best for the rest of the season!

5–1. Three points. Another big performance. ❤️🖤

And to our girls… enjoy this one. You earned it. 🫶🔥
