LET ME GO SILENTLY UNSUNG ..................................................... K. C. Das ............... Let me lie amongst weeds, plants wild, Where bees and butterflies roam free, Where they'll call me a Nature -- child, Canorous creatures will call me. Instead of flowers at my grave, Leave me flower plants and grass green, Insects and birds my grave will save, Easily there they will be seen. Fulgent flowers will furbish field, Cobwebs scattered with dew shine bright, The unknown will come, roofs will build, Stray dogs will visit me and fight. Shadows chasing the light will sleep, Towards shades of trees they will hie, Owls may be there when night is deep, To prey their preys they all will try. Rise up there the great glaring sun, The verdure over me will say, "This part of this earth you can't burn, " You should simply give away ray." I cane not to stay here for good, I came to find fault with this land ! I breathe, I do challenge the rude, With the weak and unfed I stand. Let me go silently unsung, An uncommon love I do tame, For the unnoticed I use tongue, I flow through my ways not for fame. No drops of tears you need to leave, Let wild -- wintry wind roar or sigh, When I go nothing you should give, I'll rest in peace beneath bare sky. ...................................................................................... THE POSTBOX OF LOST WISHES ............................................................ K. C. Das ............. These are all envelopes, here, in this box, They nice me in a strange way and mocks. The box stands indifferent, unmoved, still It bears human wishes with utmost skill. It seems he doesn't carewhat he has in him, What these envelopes have quietly beam. Each of these envelopes here bears a wish, They lie stagnant here, their place they can't switch. All the wishes here now lie like a ghost, They can't proclaim their own value, they're lost. The POSTBOX of lost wishes stands alone, He stands straight but quiet, is he forlorn ? Had there been a letter I was to send, I wouldn't have written any long and grand. I would have simply wished,"Be strong, be good, "If love melts your soul, hate not, be not rude." ........................................................................................ Prompt.. AFTER THE SUNSETS ....................................... K. C. Das .............. Like petals of fading flowers, I lost all of my dreaming hours I follow them with shriek and sighs They're lost in stentoriian skies. I did not try to tackle to tackle them, Played they with me a grimy game. I'd, I thought, thrive with them for good, They left leaving me moments rude. They're composed clouds, they came and left, What they did is a tactile theft. They sapped sappid scent like a scamp, Dainty days doze like a dim lamp. After the sunsets when stars sleep, I sit silent, heave a sigh deep. ....................................................................................... Prompts.. 1. WHERE I WANT TO BE .................................... K. C. Das ................ Where I want to be let me be, Mundane smiles and sighs let me see. Where I want to be let me stand, Let me find out a lively land, Like crowds of black clouds let me soar, Like those tough thunders let me roar. When all fresh flowers dance in glee, Let all fake, foreign feelings flee. Let me be where I want to be, Let me mingle with what makes me. Let me meet the face that would say, 'Let's sit here and love now, this day. Let me be where mortal things are, Where smiles blue sky, beams the North Star. Where swim butterflies, blooms rose red, Where bask busy bees, bud doesn't fade. Where I want to be is your heart, Your heart showed me how love does start. When life brought me sorrows and pain, When I tried to check them in vain, Like a river flew your love in, Towards you I could not but lean. Where I want to be let me stay, Let me meet minds gloomy and gay. ................................................................... Prompt... I'M READY TO LET YOU GO ................................................. K. C. Das ............... Do you like walking away ? I'm ready to let you go, You made a promise that day, I before you made a vow. Beside a small lake we stood, The rural sun sat unseen, We're in a gay, jolly mood, What you'd meant, I did mean. Like white clouds our feelings came, You looked at me, I at you, Perhaps we thought things the same, Grasped us an emotion new. Closer and closer we came, We built a world of our own, Fate secretly planned a game, With a new wind we were blown. We thought we couldn't stand apart, Together we'd live and die, We thought each owned a strong heart, Deathless we're beneath blue sky. Now warn you your time and space, Bound you are to say 'Goodbye,' You may stop now your own race, To walk alone let me try. ................................................................................. I want to know why clouds black Enshrouds our bright and blue sky, Why in winter sun is slack, Why on beaches the winds hie. Why have I come here on earth ? Why shall I leave her for good ? Why death takes away our mirth, Why is this life sometimes rude ? Why scars on skin never heal, Why uncertainties reign Why time and space our dreams kill What does a love lorn heart gain ? ....................................................................

I NOW NEED NEITHER THE DARK NOR LIGHT .......................................................................... K. C. Das ................ The leaves are gone and I'm all alone, Beneath the sky looking blurred and dry, I'm standing with my heart hurt and torn I long for those days where all dreams lie. Thinking I'm of those grandiose days, When you came, sat and enjoyed my shade, When each of my shadows chanted lays. When with fruit and flowers birds were fed. Lonely though I am , I'm not so sad, Maybe infecund, but not infirm, Devoid of dulcet dreams, but I'm glad, Here in this thicket I'd my own charm. I took up the gauntlet of all gales, I used to dance when straggled the storms, When walked in Winters and rang their bells I focused on Spring and changed my forms. Cosy cabins in the woods are gone, I've lost my comfort blankets I had, Rain, sun and snow play with me for fun, Yet I stand straight, my hope does not fade. I now need neither the dark nor light, I now need neither the moon nor sun, Standing on my space I strive to fight Though tenebrous is my time, days run. .................................................................................. Prompts :---- 1."The leaves are gone and I'm all alone " 2. "Cosy cabins in the woods" 3. "Lost comfort basket." all three for #imlaurengreenprompts @imlaurengreen

LIES THERE YOUR HOME STARK ....................................................... K. C. Das .............. When here and there on earth I roam, I hear some unknown voice say, "Come here, come here, come home, "To sing, dance and play. "When the earth looks gray, brown and green, "When the sun and the moon shine, "When the rainbow is seen "Your home is fair , fine. "Where fire burns all your hopes and dreams "Where all your enemies lurk "Where each of tear drops beams, "Lies there your home stark. "Shun the shelter made up of pain, "Come home and enjoy your stay, "In the sun, in the rain " Be happy, be gay." "Where's my home ? Where my shelter lies !" Echoes the query in vain, Grins the earth, smiles the skies, Dozes my old brain. I know not where my shelter is, Where is my home ? I know not, I wander and seek peace, On plains, in sands hot. .......................................................................................... AN OWL KEEPS LOOKING AT ME ...................................................... K. C. Das ............... The dark sways the night An owl keeps looking at me When strange stillness speaks With the naive nocturnal breeze When mystical moonbeams hide. Stark somber silence Sapping all supernal stars Helps me stand to wait For the fresh morning sunbeams To snatch away all the rays.
