Before wrapping up our Tahoe 200 time, we had the pleasure of volunteering at the Spooner Summit Aid Station at Mile 185 for the final afternoon, night, and morning of the race. This aid station was special for lots of reasons! We met lots of incredible and strong individuals who made it to this final aid station where they had just 18 miles to the finish! A few runners were especially memorable, and we're so thankful for those moments, conversations, and opportunities. We were excited that the final runner made it through the station 2 minutes before the cutoff! We cheered him in, people quickly filled his flasks, others handed him food to go, and then we all pushed him on out to the course! We also met and served alongside many wonderful people and made new friends and special connections! We had a chance to see, chat with, and say goodbye to many runners, volunteers, and friends. Extra stoked for Josh and his great finish of his 1st 200! Lastly, we cheered in the final male and female runners! What an inspiring and awesome experience it all turned out to be! Congrats to all the runners who toed the line! Perhaps we'll return to Tahoe one day!?! For now, back to NH for a bit of rest, recovery, and then training! & family time! Hoping Elliot gets off a waitlist for a backyard ultra! Then, BIGFOOT for Brody in August, followed by Jigger Johnson 100 for Ben! Having a lot of fun with the ultra community, learning lots, and thankful for these great experiences!

COSTUME PROCESS SERIES part IV || An integral part of THE NUTCRACKER production is the creation of incredible costumes, especially the iconic pink tutus that grace the stage during the French Bonbons divertissement. Hear from Lani Scozzari as she explains the intricate components of a tutu, including fine details that enhance the beauty of the dancers on stage. The French Bonbon (aka Marzipan) tutus are embellished with jewels and embroidery that often require mending after the wear-and-tear during performances. Each year, the talented costume staff repair the sequins, elastics, and multiple tulle layers so that the tutus maintain their shape and beauty on stage. “Each tutu is hand-stitched, so it is quite an effort of love and labor.” To see these spectacular tutus in real life, come see Ballet Palm Beach perform THE NUTCRACKER, December 6-8, at The Kravis Center! 🩰Tickets are available through our website and the link in bio.
