Pretend I said something witty and insightful. Mostly pictures of cool stuff I see. Figuring out Instagram as I go.

Thanks to the efforts from our community and beyond, we’ve finished our high tunnel build! 🙌

It’s hard to believe that we put this structure together in just one day, all thanks to the help from our friends, family, volunteers, and Stephanie and Spencer from @niftyhoops.

We’re excited to plan our spring crops and prep the soil for another great year of bringing fresh produce to our community. Stay tuned for more great news and updates from the farm!

Thanks to NiftyHoops, our local NRCS office, Krug Lawncare, our helping hands, and our Kickstarter backers! 💛

Our greenhouse is finished! 🌸 🪴 It took a lot of labor, learning, cursing, and a little redoing, but it got done and works well! Even better, the frame held up against a derecho with Cat 1 hurricane force winds twice over the summer!

Over the past few months we’ve recruited family and friends to help out with the steps that required three-to-four sets of hands. 😅😮‍💨 Some of the steps were NOT easy. So thanks to everybody who came to help.

With 72 sq feet of storage protected against the Illinois winter, we’ll be able to start seedlings and protect our existing plants to get a head start on spring!

One small step for us, one giant leap for Gooseberry Acres!

I asked for @pinepantry donations at tonight’s @vhsandchillokc and Y’ALL CAME THROUGH.
Thanks so much to VHS and CHILL for letting me show the garage sale find of the century. This perfectly goofy gift from my big little brother was a RIOT of a really bad / fantastic late 80s kid show of hidden innuendos.

And major thanks to @lansdallius and the anonymous canned goods donor.
