🚨3 DAYS AND COUNTING!🚨 This coming SATURDAY 1st MARCH @verbier4vallees will host the second edition of the MGG Winter Waltz! 13:00 to 15:00 - Come and join us at the Cinéma de Verbier for a screening of our new documentary, “Dancing on the Edge: A Ski Ballet Story”. There are lots of seats to fill (450), and entry is FREE, so you have no excuses not to be there! 15:00 to 21:00 - The main MGG Winter Waltz event begins on the Les Esserts nursery slope at the top of the town of Verbier (which is easily accessible on foot - you can either walk up, or take the No.2 ‘HAMEAU’ bus, and get off at the penultimate stop). There will be food, drink, music, and most importantly some incredible floodlit ballet skiing from 17:00. Again, this event is 100% FREE to attend, so please do everything that you can to ensure that you’re there! This will be the largest gathering of former professional ski ballet athletes (40+) since the sport came to a (competitive) end, and certain icons of the sport who were there at its very inception will be joining us, so it is NOT TO BE MISSED! We’ve done the maths, and the lineup this weekend is simply out of this world 🤯 Feast your eyes on the talent which will be performing, who between themselves achieved the following. This is wild. - All 4 Olympic gold medals from 1988 & 1992 - 9 Olympic medals - 9 Olympians - 28 out of 40 World Cup 1st place rankings - 255 World Cup gold medals - 567 World Cup medals - 8 World Championship gold medals - 18 World Championship medals For more info, visit www.mgg.ski/winterwaltz, or click on the link in our bio 🔗 🎥 @scottmediahouse 🎥 @julienregnier 📷 @charliecazalet #mgg2025 // #mggballet

On Saturday 1st March 2025, Verbier was privileged to witness an extraordinary sight: 28 former professional ski ballet athletes were reunited on the ‘Les Esserts’ piste for a ski ballet extravaganza, the MGG WINTER WALTZ! With ski ballet legend Bob Howard and Winter Olympic icon Philip Richard on the mic, they presided over the largest gathering of ski ballet athletes in more than 25 years! It was an evening for the ages, and an incredibly exciting moment for this unique sport which, as the supremely talented athletes who took part showed, is still very much alive and well. [PART 1/2] 🎞️ Please visit the LINK in our BIO to watch the full recap film, and share it far & wide! 🔗 📖 Please visit the LINK in our BIO to read the full event report! 🔗 ***** A SCOTT Media House production - @scottmediahouse Directed by @scottgoedkoop Produced by @mgg.ski #mgg2025 // #winterwaltz

Haley Harvey, Client Success Manager at TeamSnap, recently sat down with us to talk about the important role sports played in shaping who she is today: “In life and in sports, there’s just so much that we can’t control. But we can control our attitude and our effort.” A new report from Aspen Institute found that more than 25% of kids who previously played sports are no longer interested in participating post-pandemic. At TeamSnap, increasing access to sport, and sharing the value and impact that sports can have is at the center of everything we do. To combat this, we've asked everyone from Olympic athletes to TeamSnap employees to tell us why they play. Follow along with us as we spread the word to help kids get back to play. #BacktoPlay #youthsports

Our #ThatsWYwomen group got to tour The English Tunnel (named for its English financial backers) in #SouthPassCity #Wyoming. After a short hike, our guide (Joe Ellis, Park Superintendent) took us into the 300-foot tunnel with flashlights (swipe for video). Along the path, candles were lit in cutouts left by the miners when it was abandoned in 1868. Sadly, the miners didn’t find any gold ore and the mine was sealed and left undisturbed for 150 years, until it was reopened in 2018. I love experiencing “living history”! 🕯🗺 #JoBitesWyoming #MyLastBiteTravels #LifeIsShortGetOutThere #FoodAndTravel #igtravel #ThatsWy (trip #sponsored) #FlyYourWY
