FIGHTING BACK: Pro-life states have had enough.

The states of Louisiana, Arkansas, and Alabama just filed directly with the Supreme Court against New York, California, and Massachusetts over abortion shield laws. It is the first abortion case to ask the Court to hear the dispute itself, not on appeal.

Dobbs promised that the people and their elected representatives would set abortion policy. In order for that promise to hold, a state’s sovereign choice to protect life cannot be nullified by another state’s shield laws.

We at AUL stand behind these pro-life states. Comment what you think and share this post to spread the word.

STATES FIGHT BACK: Louisiana, Arkansas, and Alabama just took abortion shield laws straight to the Supreme Court.

Attorneys General @aglizmurrill, @agtimgriffin, and @agstevemarshall filed an original-jurisdiction complaint against New York, California, and Massachusetts.

The claim is simple: those shield laws let abortion pills be mailed into states that have chosen to protect preborn children, and then block those states from enforcing their own laws.

"Pro-life states must be allowed to enforce their laws... These pro-life states are asking the Supreme Court to affirm the promise it made in Dobbs: that pro-life states would be able to set their own policy on abortion, just as New York, Massachusetts and California would as well." - John Mize, CEO of AUL.

Today I had the opportunity to attend the @larighttolife event here in Shreveport. I’m grateful for the work being done across our community and state to defend the dignity of human life and to support mothers, children, and families.

A special thank you to Larry Otwell and the @sbrescuemission for hosting today’s event.

We also heard a powerful testimony from keynote speaker Ashley Bartels. Today, Ashley is a mother of three and a grandmother. Her story was a reminder that behind every statistic is a real person, a real family, and a life with purpose and a future.

One of the statistics shared today was that more than 1,000 abortions are occurring each month through abortion pills. That number reinforces the importance of not only talking about protecting life, but also making sure women facing unexpected pregnancies know that there are people and organizations ready to walk alongside them.

We must continue to promote adoption, support our local pregnancy centers, strengthen families, and make sure mothers know they do not have to walk through difficult circumstances alone.

I’m thankful for organizations like Louisiana Right to Life and for the many people in our community who are committed to serving women and families.

Every life has value. Every life has purpose. Every life is worth protecting.

She said no.

No to the abortion. No to the pills. No to ending a baby she already loved.

In October 2023, Rosalie's then-boyfriend used her information to order abortion pills from an out-of-state doctor. The pack showed up at her Louisiana door.

She has said he cornered her, told her she would ruin his life, and watched her swallow the drugs. She ran to throw them up. She could not.

Yesterday, that story was in a federal courtroom.

Rosalie became a plaintiff in Louisiana v. FDA. and oral arguments were heard in the Fifth Circuit on whether FDA’s 2023 mail-and-telehealth rule can stand when it lets abortion pills cross into states with pro-life protections.

Rosalie cannot get her child back. But she can fight, so the next woman is not left alone with a mailed-ordered box of poison pills and an abusive man who won't stop.

Share this video. Spread awareness about the dangers of abortion pills.
