Before we learned one count of choreography, we had to change the conversation we were having with ourselves.

“Dance as if no one is watching.”

Confidence isn’t built in one class. It isn’t built from perfection. It’s built every time you choose to show up, even when you feel uncomfortable. This class has never just been about majorette.

It’s about becoming comfortable taking up space, embracing the body you’re in, and realizing that your confidence was never meant to come from other people’s approval.

Golden Hour this Friday! Do you have your tickets???🐝

Last night The Be Hive had the honor of performing for @universityofdc @udcroyals as a dance of salutation, and it was a spiritual moment I’ll never forget. This year tried everything it could to break me… mentally, emotionally, and even in my business. This has been one of the toughest seasons of my life full of trials, setbacks, and attacks. I kept asking God why I was facing so many trials, but now I understand: every single challenge was preparing me for this moment. Everything happened for a reason. That pressure formed diamonds.

There was a little girl, maybe 5 years old, who watched our performance with the biggest twinkle in her eye. She waved at me and hugged me and in that moment, I saw myself. That one spark of inspiration I once had has grown into purpose that changed my life, and now God is using me to pass that spark on to others. That little moment reminded me why I do this… why I fight… why I keep going.

My dream as a little girl is finally coming into fruition. I feel like my baby, The Be Hive, was officially born last night. And it wasn’t just me. Every dancer on that stage carried their own battles, setbacks, and storms from this year. We all overcame. Our dance became our voice… a story of our souls.

Had I let this year win, this moment wouldn’t have existed. That little girl wouldn’t have been inspired. These dancers wouldn’t have had their breakthrough. God knew exactly what He was doing.

Now introducing The BE Hive: Mobile performing arts, education, and elevation company… Preparing OUR community to dance through life on and off of the stage✨🐝…This isn’t just a company…it’s a movement purposed to change the course of lives.
BE Resilient🔥
BE Empowered✨
BE Legendary ❤️‍🔥

Special thank you to everyone who believed in me and prepared me for this moment. Words can’t explain my gratitude❤️

Throwback Thursday 💫
I look back at these moments not just as titles or roles, but as testaments of perseverance.
Student athletic trainer
Athletics business intern
Football recruiter
Miss Krimson & Kreme
Miss Biology Club
National Society of Leadership & Success, VP
Empow[H]er & Strengt[H]im Tutoring & Mentor, VP
Etc.
All while running a full time business that acquired and provided jobs for over 35 people🐝.

This was more than just a resume line. This was proof that even in the midst of hardship, I showed up, pushed through, and poured in. College wasn’t easy. Behind the smiles were late nights, silent battles, and the weight of the world on my shoulders. But even in the chaos, I never let go of my vision of creating opportunities for the underserved.
📚 Always a Dean’s Scholar.
🤝 Always creating opportunities for others
💫 Always striving to represent something bigger than myself.
⭐️Always striving to be a light in every room I entered no matter what I was going through.
I never claimed to be perfect, but I always did my best with what I had.

And through it all, one place shaped me more than anything—my HBCU, Alcorn State University💜💛.
We didn’t always have the most, but we had each other. Alcorn taught us the true meaning of community, of Black excellence rooted in unity, resilience, and tough love.
Had I not gone to an HBCU, my story would’ve been different—and I’m grateful every day that this is the story God wrote for me.

May this post is a reminder that you can face pressure, carry pain, and still walk in purpose. You don’t have to be perfect to be impactful🫶
