Nova.

Charles M. Schultz wrote, “Happiness is a warm puppy.” Nova spread happiness like a burning fireplace. He always greeted us at the door with a warm welcome and kept us company with a warm head on our laps. He will continue to keep us warm on the cold nights to come, keeping watch over us like he once did. The flame may be extinguished, but the spirit burns on. Thank you, Nova. We love you, sweet Yeti. We will meet again again in the land beyond. Til then your memory burns bright. 🤍

🗣️🗣️🗣️I AM UP TO STUFF AGAIN! Me and the crew are throwing a music festival and flea market to raise funds for our direct aid! It’s going to be really cool!!

Here’s how the whole thing works: Tickets are $10 and all that money goes to the musicians. I’ve got a lovely slate of music makers (will be announced very soon!) and a lot of them are young artists making this their job for the first time, and I really want to support that! So a door split for artists was a no brainer.

But this is a FUNDRAISER so I will also be making money for our work in MacArthur park by selling very cool donated items at our Mini Flea Market! We’ll have really neat stuff from local artists and makers, gift cards from local spots at a huge discount, and more. PLUS, me, @briocheburns @lisaqu @stellaleep and @kait2lyn (with a couple special guests TBA) will be throwing down on a very cool menu+bake sale. So come eat, drink, shop, and all that money goes straight to our work in the park.

IMPORTANT MONEY NOTE- the overhead for this event is coming out of my savings and the generous help of a few lovely friends who are balling super hard rn. The money you Venmo to Catherine and Kat will NEVER go to anything besides direct supplies and food for Mac park. This isn’t a bullshit party that sucks funds out of our operation, it’s a real DIY effort to get more money into care for our unhoused neighbors and I wanna be SO CLEAR ON THAT. ok love you!!!

Buy a ticket! Link in bio! Also thank you @mimskaty for the dope flyer!!!!

Grocery Store Day 2026 was one of the most successful distro events we’ve ever done! 288 bags full of SO MANY GROCERIES- from bread and pb and j, meat and cheese, to canned stuff like soup and spam, to pantry staples like pasta and marinara (plus tons more). 288 hygiene and first aid kits with new towels, dozens of narcan doses, hundreds of baby wipes too!

Plus, as always, breakfast and lunch with haircuts by the amazing team at @shampoolio_the_salon

Special thanks to @theguildhallbar and @gluten_free_dad who bought AND packaged all the dry goods we distributed! Rice, beans, masa, flour, sugar, and more for the neighbors!

And most importantly, HUGE shoutouts to everyone who did an individual item drive! They showed up the way you should when you love your city- they raised money, they secured valuable resources, and they got them in the hands of people who need them. It’s what we all have to do forever to take care of each other.

And thank YOU ALL for sharing our work, donating, volunteering, and caring about MacArthur Park. It deserves all the love!
