2025 didn’t come easy, but it was all worth it.

My physical health changed in ways I didn’t expect, and 2025 brought hard times alongside clarity. Receiving diagnoses has been emotional, sometimes overwhelming, but also helpful. They gave me answers that helped me understand why things that looked normal from the outside required at least twice as much effort.

For a long time I assumed struggling meant I wasn’t trying hard enough. Now I see I was already working harder than most due to being built different. It’s changing how I treat myself.

With a small support system, I had to learn how to work within my personal limits. I adapted and I adjusted over and over again.

Along the way I also learned something valuable about support. People can care deeply and still not have the capacity to show up in the ways we need. And that’s ok even when it’s a bummer. It helps me choose where I give my energy, and how I care for myself when things are hard and no one is checking in.

What I know now is I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve been able to do all along.

I’ve climbed mountains with invisible illness, minimal external support, and no one else carrying any of my extra weight for me. What once made me feel like a failure, I recognize as resilience. What once felt like weakness, I now understand as strength earned the hard way.

I’m not behind, not broken. I’m very capable, adaptive, and always moving forward.

In 2026, I’m choosing to be unafraid to be seen. No pressure or expectations, only acceptance and recognition. Looking forward to what’s in store for me ✨ A girl looking across Lake Garibaldi at the mountains in British Columbia with Milky Way star trails in the sky, captured during long exposures throughout the night
