J. Carino is a Riverside, California-based figurative artist working in a variety of mixed-media.

His drawings challenge ideas of queerness, identity, sensuality, and nature through richly patterned, coloured, and layered figures.

Wrestling with ideas of traditional fertility and queer intimacy, J. Carino explores how the creation of our sense of self is connected with the natural world.

Later Editions interviewed Jacopo Pagin upon release of his new limited edition Archival Pigment Print, "She Got the Control Again".
☀️
Jacopo Pagin’s enthralling paintings are deeply grounded in art history in the multitude of influences they explore, yet highly idiosyncratic and contemporary in their execution. The elongated figures and objects, delicate tones and uncanny, haunting beauty of the compositions echo past artistic periods, such as the Mannerist sophistication of the end of the 16th century, the ornamentation of mid-18th century Rococo and the dreamy, grandiose Neoclassicism of the 1930s.

對，那些就是妳不斷在調整、撞牆的原因

We are thrilled to release a new original work
on paper today by Riverside, California-based artist J. Carino.

Influenced by many decorative arts, J. Carin's paintings and drawings explore ideas of queerness, identity, sensuality, and
nature through richly patterned, coloured, and layered figures and flora. His work depicts monumental nude, queer figures in landscapes that are both idyllic and tinged with danger.

Wrestling with ideas of traditional fertility and queer intimacy, J. Carino explores how the creation of our sense of self is connected with the natural world.
