A post trip reflection from October🍁

The peace that the backcountry holds isn’t easy to match. The absolute tranquility is something that only comes with completely disconnecting from the day to day, from technology and routine. It’s in this space where you’re able to be 100% present and remember your true nature.

below a message of gratitude from GZL Member James C. after racing Big Bear Marathon 😊❤️‍🩹🌲👟⚡️

“….I wanted to let you know that Joe, Tracy & I finished Big Bear ok. Joe got about a 19 min PR & BQ’d by over 7 mins coming home in 3:27. Tracy PR’d by about 13 mins in 3:54. I ran 3:17:36 which is not a PR, but it’s technically a BQ by just over 2 mins…

…after a lot of attempts to BQ, I met the standard & I couldn’t have done it without your support and guidance over the years.“

Braved the Bear and the below freezing temps for a SUB 2 HALF MARATHON and 12 MINUTE PR!!!
I was planning on running @runrevel Big Bear alone and instead got connected with the most wonderful group of people! The Austin running community is unmatched!!!! I knew none of them before Friday outside of a few texts and I am so so thankful for being a part of their group this weekend. To every single person that ran with me in the last 6 months to make this sub 2 dream a reality, THANK YOU and enjoy my stages of realizing I hit 1:57 and then suffering

Happy #internationalwomensday ! Thanks to everyone who came out for the ride with @spinistryracing with @togetherweride1 . We had another 4-5 join us on course and we enjoyed a nice evening ride together to celebrate women in cycling. Snacks and drinks at @themeteoraustin capped off an excellent night!
