A little late with the update on the fundraising for Diabetes UK — there’s been lots going on!

A massive thank you to everyone who got behind Lathan and supported him on his @pancelticraceseries adventure. We’re absolutely delighted to say that a total of £2,400 has now been raised for @diabetesuk , and the money will be sent directly to the charity later today.

It’s a huge amount of money and will go a long way towards supporting the amazing work Diabetes UK does.

A massive thank you once again to everyone who donated, supported, shared and encouraged Lathan along the way. And, of course, a huge thank you to our sponsors for their incredible support in helping us make this possible.

We really couldn’t have done it without you all. ❤️

Custom prints are heading out today! These incredible cyclists just took on massive rides …

* Ro Marshall (@britishadventuremum) cycled LEJOG (Land’s End to John o’ Groats) - 1,058 miles (1,703 km) - with her two young kids in tow. She raised over £50k for PANDAS – a charity that supports families suffering with perinatal mental illness, including prenatal and postnatal depression

* Neil Lauder (@lauder82) and his 9-year-old son Lathan (@lathan_lauder) finished the 2026 Pan Celtic intro route - 620 miles (998 km) starting in Wales, crossing to Ireland, then back to Wales

* Madeline Walsh (@madslewiswalsh) rode every stage of the 2026 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift one day ahead of the pros - 749 miles (1,205 km) and raised over £10k for Cure Leukaemia

Pan Celtic Ultra - Day 4 part II

Rounding off some of my greatest moments of the race, Day 4 was all about people

For the first two days, although brilliant (mostly), it had felt sticky. As in going through the motions but all a bit sore, a bit clunky, all a bit broken up, all a bit fuctional. But by days 3 & 4 I'd really found my flow & it just felt beautiful

I felt like I was back in the race on reaching CP 1 in Ballyvoy. Coming together over tea & toast with other race riders thanks to the best checkpoint ultra hosts & @pancelticraceseries friends Lucie & Craig, swapping stories from the road, best bivvies & dot watching. It was the first time I felt like I was giving something back too, we all had our war-wounds & were struggling one way or another & I was pleased I could offer my previous life skills of sports therapist & bring out the strapping & taping big guns for a knee injury to help get Amelia back on the road & smashing it all the way back to Belfast. She's an absolute warrior 💪

Back on the road I soon caught up with long time Pan Celtic friend Andy & we rode together in wonderful eccentric conversation of inventions & more, as we rode passed Giant's Causeway & a stacked sweeping atlantic landscape towards the inner hebridean island of Islay

Big dipper roads took me to Downhill, which unsurprisingly was indeed down hill. But with a downhill.. yep you know. But first, an almost ride-in accessible beach toilet. The joy of such luxury 🙌

My attempt at climbing the 20% twisting lane skywards paused for a lovely chat with a couple tending to their sheep. The kindness of strangers is continually reminded on rides like this, this time an offer of pitching my tent in their garden.
Had Claire not already sourced us another bijou camp spot of dreams, it would have been greatly accepted

So it was onto camp host Merv's for tent tea & mountain morning vistas via a spectacular sunset to close another day

Pan Celtic Ultra - Day 4

This gets two parts it was THAT INSANELY GOOD!!

Even though filmmaker @jordi.g.rodriguez & Fergus caught me having a 5⭐️ breakfast at our birthday B&B instead my usual tent tea, & then threw me into a ridiculous steep road without any run up, it was a lot of fun having them around as I made my way 'up' the coast.
A stunning section from Cushenden up & over the infamous Torr Head

Jordi thought instead of capturing some cruisey moments on the coast road looking cool & fast 😄 they'd film me while I was attempting to climb Torr Head, its steps each around 20%. Not looking cool, & most definitely not fast.
I genuinely didn't know if I could get up it. I did unload some kit to give me a fighting chance - a potential intervention already in the plan. My motivation to get up there.. I'd heard riders before me had walked their bikes up it. I could do better than that

My front wheel was fighting for traction, my shoulders screaming for me to stop, I was channeling the beast from within & adding at least 10% extra effort with my ThunderCat roar with every meter gained. It was a moment!!
That one hit me in the feels.
It bloomin well IS possible

Shortly after came 'that cow incident'. Why I thought a cow was tethered at the side of the road I dont know. It wasn't. Nervous laughter ensued as the cow trotted ahead of me, then turned to face me, pointy horns & kicky hooves. I tried to get assistance from a farmer, cue my "can someone sort the cow please!?" Only for it to be driven further down my road & refusing to let me pass. Another rider, Jen came through, I thought this my chance for safe passage together, but Jen left me in her cow dust 😂 The final showdown came as I threw myself off my bike, Claire & Rob arrived to help, two of us pinned up against the van as the cow ran through anything in its way (would have been me) back the way into came.
My cow karma hit just minutes later with my first puncture. I probably deserved that

Best thing about Torr Head apart from the epic views of Scotland - racing @pancelticraceseries Hall of Fame legend 9yr old @lathan_lauder & dad @lauder82 to CP1

Lathan Lauder and his dad, Neil have completed this year’s Pan Celtic Intro ride, and at just 9 year’s old, he becomes our youngest rider to take part. It is an outstanding achievement and testament to his commitment, resilience, and strong riding ability

Alongside the ride, they’re hoping to raise some money for Diabetes UK — a cause that’s incredibly close to their hearts. Lathan’s Mum lives with Type 1 diabetes every single day, and Neil also lost his father to complications from Type 1, so this is something that means a great deal to the family

Enjoying a strong tailwind from the east, riders made their way across Ynys Môn to Holyhead on a day where the mountains were ablaze with thick smoke blowing across the channel. A sorry sight as the recent heatwaves impacts are felt

Tourists and other ferry users could only stand and stare, as the sight of our two hundred and fifty excited ultra-cyclists were welcomed aboard the ferry, ready to tackle the Emerald Isle

8 days to go until the Pan Celtic Race! 🚴‍♂️🔥

We’re also thrilled to have @restrap come on board and support us with the upcoming race. They’ve been incredibly kind and sent us loads of their products to help us carry our tent and all the bits and pieces we’ll need whilst taking on this challenge. Huge thank you to them for the support!

Today we did our last big ride before the race — 47 miles with a few hills thrown in for good measure ⛰️🚴

I’ve still got two football training sessions this week and maybe one easy ride, but after that it’s time to rest up ready for Sunday.

Starting to feel a little nervous now, but Daddy says we’ll be fine! 😅

Massive thank you to Albion Cycling for sending me some new kit to wear for the race. Got home from school and headed straight out for a sunny 20 miles in the lovely weather — obviously I had to give the new gear a try! ☀️😎

💥New FKT💥

Route: The Henley 100
Distance: 100 km
Time: 3h 58m 37s

Congratulations to Neil Lauder (@lauder82), who has set a new FKT on The Henley 100! Neil has dipped under the coveted 4hr mark for 100km, clipping around 8 minutes from Dewald Lötter’s time set a few weeks ago. This rapid time is Neil’s first FKT attempt, we can’t wait to see which route he attempts next!

New FKT on the Henley 100. Think gravel bike is the one for this route, so much tarmac or hardpack so really felt like a slog on the MTB, Some strong winds not helping either but pleased to go sub 4 hour!
