🎶🌍 Happy World Opera Day! 🌍🎶

Last year, we were privileged to bring you Bizet's timeless classic, CARMEN, with an English translation by the legendary Sheldon Harnick. Directed by @sammi.cannold and conducted by @tedsperling.

We take immense joy in blending the old-world charm of opera with a fresh and contemporary twist. The magic of music knows no bounds, and it's an honor to keep this art form alive and evolving.

Cheers to the power of music, the beauty of language, and the timelessness of opera! 🥂

🌹🌹🌹Still on cloud nine from our beautiful opening of #Ainadamar @metopera the other night! I rarely remember to take pictures of these wonderful moments as they come, but so happy to have these gorgeous shots to commemorate this truly magical night!

I’m blessed beyond measure to have the dearest and best people in my life on this journey with me! Most of them hold my hand through these milestones and lift me up from afar, but sometimes the universe gifts me their presence!! Love you @dotshrader, best SIL ever, #auntDeedee and superstar boss, and @fingahspellegrino , #uncleAllen, musical partner and down-the-aisle-companion! So many brilliant people and beautiful moments to treasure forever! 🌹🌹🌹

🔥 Don't miss Flamenco Vivo Company Dancer & Teaching Artist, Laura Peralta (@lauraepf), in her debut production, Entre Líneas.

In her work, Entre Líneas, Peralta uses the individual symbolic elements of Flamenco – the dress, the shawl, the guitar, rhythm, masculinity, and femininity – to examine the tension between tradition and self-expression.

WHEN: Saturday, February 1st at 7:30pm
WHERE: LaGuardia Performing Arts Center @laguardiacc @lpacinnyc
TICKETS: lpac.nyc/upcoming-events/entre-lineas

Entre Líneas was developed, in part, during Mare Nostrum Elements' @mnelements’ Emerging Choreographer Series 2024. The performance is at the LaGuardia Performing Arts Centers as part of the CUNY Dance Initiative 2024/2025.
