“May the stars shine down on you…” 🩵😊🥺🌌

after so long, i finally got the chance to meet the voice of Rosalina herself, @laurafayesmith !!! Rosalina is one of my favorite characters in the Mario franchise, alongside Peach and Toadette. she genuinely means the WORLD to me as a character. her emotional backstory, motherly persona, and wholesome bond with the Lumas ALWAYS make me fangirl over her.

and @laurafayesmith is SO SWEET AND PRECIOUS AND PRETTY! when i came up to her table, she loved my rosalina cosplay and asked if she could take a picture with me! that caught me so off-guard, I wasn’t expecting such sweetness from her! we did so many awesome poses, ranging from hugs to the iconic sisterly hand-touch scene from the Galaxy movie! she is just like rosalina in real life, and is one of my biggest idols period!

i even asked her about advice and how to get started with pursuing acting, and she was very helpful and kind with what she told me! she always says it’s important to take small steps at first when it comes to pursuing a dream. whether it’s taking acting classes or forming connections, i loved everything she had to say. i also got to watch her voice acting panel, and she was so funny and energetic on-stage!

me and laura kept talking and asking questions all the way until closing time. even when I was vulnerable and open about the struggles i faced and how much she’s inspired me and getting the right answers, laura was still so comforting to me. it felt so surreal that a moment I’ve been dreaming of for so long, me finally meeting Rosalina’s voice actress, finally came true.

thank you, laura. you ARE Rosalina, and always will be. i’ll always be in support of whatever you do in the future! and I hope the stars shine down on you, too…🩵

P.S. thank you for much for the hugs! it’s a pleasure being one of your Lumas! 🤗

Can we please talk about how refreshing it is to see a vertical build out its world with a genuinely mature, star-studded supporting cast?!

Because YES. More of this.

This one surprised me. It starts with some very familiar vertical ingredients—born-again revenge, family betrayal, forced proximity, a heroine with approximately 47 emotional walls—and then proceeds to make enough interesting choices with them that I found myself genuinely invested.

First: I LOVE an assertive female lead. Mellissa played Vivian with perfection. She has an agenda. And the story doesn’t immediately sand down all her sharp edges just because Patrick walks into the room.

And Patrick? GREEN. FLAG. EXCELLENCE. What I especially loved was that he actually has to earn her trust. Her resistance isn’t manufactured simply to keep the romance apart for 60 episodes. It makes sense given everything she’s experienced, and she’s trying to accomplish. So when those walls finally begin to move? The romance feels EARNED.

Also—forced proximity that actually makes narrative sense?! What a concept!

But the revenge story is where this really distinguishes itself. There’s a subtle murder mystery woven through it, complicated family dynamics, and enough twists to keep what could have been a fairly standard rebirth plot from feeling like one.

And then there’s that supporting cast.

Bringing seasoned, recognizable actors into these family and supporting roles adds SO much texture. @seanstar75 @johnhenryrichardson @laurafayesmith @rebecca_a_ritz ALL AMAZING…They aren’t simply human exposition machines who wander in to announce an inheritance and disappear. The caliber and maturity of the ensemble makes the entire world feel richer and gives the younger leads something substantial to play against.

THAT is something I would love to see verticals do more often.

Is every twist completely reinventing the genre? No. But it’s smart about where it chooses to deviate from the formula and even smarter about letting character, chemistry and trust do some of the heavy lifting.

Turns out you don’t have to reinvent vertical drama.

Sometimes you just have to grow it up a little.

Falling in Love with My Ex Husband Again

Six years after a painful separation, Isabella and Paul are unexpectedly brought back into each other's lives. But old wounds haven't disappeared, and with their son Charlie connecting them, the past becomes impossible to leave behind.

✨ My Thoughts

Some love stories are less about falling in love and more about discovering whether something broken can ever truly be repaired. That's what gives this vertical its emotional pull.

@kyrawisely brings both strength and vulnerability to Isabella. There is history behind the way she reacts to Paul, and Kyra makes the hurt feel genuine without allowing it to define her character. Isabella has learned to stand on her own, which makes watching those old feelings slowly resurface even more compelling.

@kaseyesser gives Paul a different kind of vulnerability beneath his pride. He is far from perfect and has mistakes to confront, but Kasey makes it clear that Paul's feelings for Isabella never disappeared as completely as either of them might want to believe. Their chemistry carries the weight of two people who know exactly how deeply they can hurt each other.

But Charlie, played by Zacarias Olalla, is the soul of the story. Clever, protective, and incredibly charming, he brings warmth to some of the heavier moments while becoming much more than simply the child connecting Isabella and Paul.

I also enjoyed that the series doesn't rely entirely on romance. Family loyalty, betrayal, forgiveness, and complicated relationships surround the central love story, while lighter moments keep the emotional drama from becoming too heavy.

Passionate and heartfelt, Falling in Love with My Ex Husband Again is ultimately a story about second chances and whether love can survive everything that came before. Sometimes family can leave the deepest wounds, but it can also become part of what finally helps them heal. ❤️
