It’s event day! And it was huge!
From 10am till 10pm it was NON STOP!

Drove up there to film content and ended up shovelling ice and snow and applying decals to mirrors as well! 👏🏼

I have to say a HUGE thank you to @sxncello & @soireeclub for trusting me with filming one of their biggest events of the year.
I will never take what I do for granted and pinch myself every day that this is what I get to wake up and do. 🥹

We decided to throw a party for our debut single release “NO LINES”. The inspiration for the track came when we found ourselves in Malibu for an extra day after a cancelled flight. We were at the top of this canyon with a carpet of clouds beneath us.
We didn’t think we could replicate that location in the middle of winter in Melbourne, so we set about drawing creative inspiration from it.
This concrete dome presented itself, and we fell in love and instantly saw a vision. Trouble was, a concrete dome can provide disastrous or potentially beautiful acoustic risks.. this place has an 8 second reverb decay… unless you absolutely fill the joint with people, and we did just that!

A couple of weeks ago Ash had the sudden feeling at 7am that we HAD to leave the house in our car and head to the mountains to do a shoot at sunset. We picked Laura (our loving manager) up, drove for 3 hours, to the very top of Mt Buller with our wagon rammed with gear. We drove almost to the very top, then got a lift up to the summit by the friendly ranger who luckily opened the ski lift hut so we could power our gear.

We spent about an hour setting up, in clear blue skies. Then just as we were about to turn the cameras on, a thick cloud ripped up the mountain. It lingered there for the entirety of the sunset and we thought we’d totally wasted a day. We played anyway, coz why not. Then as the sun set, it left us with this magical orange haze as we began playing our first ever original song - “No Lines”. It’s out June 18th and we’d love it if you gave it a presave (link in bio) x
