In a competition at Brucato Spirits (@brucatospirits), six Bay Area bartenders (@truelaurelsf @thelindenroom @lastritesbar @maritime.sf @eastbayspicecompany @outerlands) tried their hand at distilling the essence of the Bay into a gin and along with a unique cocktail.

The prize? A chance to serve a limited run of the winning gin at their home bar starting in late October.

To help decide the champion, KQED’s Josh Decolongon (@sommeligay) judged the tipples alongside Sierra Clark, Nora Furst (@yeahnora) of @buddythebar and Lauren Saria (@laurensaria) of @sfstandard.
