🇺🇸 New York • Bar Snack in New York City, Iain Griffiths' 1970s-inspired hangout, took home the Disaronno Highest New Entry Award with a simple idea: dressed-up classics for dressed-down people. Burnt orange vinyl, wood paneling, a neon-laced bar, and a room that is loud and lively in all the right ways. Behind the bar, Rob Crowe keeps bold drinks in balance. Prefer it straight up? The Guinness here is poured properly, patience and all. Then comes the Spice Bag, a nod to Ireland's late-night staple: crispy chicken tenders, fries and sautéed peppers in a branded paper bag, with curry sauce on the side. And before you leave, visit the bathroom.

Well then, bit of a wild one this week 🤯 Few of us headed to Milan, hugged a tonne of friends, popped on our best glad rags & then had the very surreal experience of hearing this little bars’ name read out amongst @the50bars Worlds 50 Best Bars list! A huge congratulations to this very special team, the way y’all constantly weave such a wam & spectacular level of hospitality into all you do is the heart of what’s truly being recognised here. No matter what the role, when it’s such a busy & lively bar such as ours, it takes some next level talent to do it all with a smile & you lot do it so well, you almost make it look easy. Thank you for dedication you show this bar, it’s been one helluva a year & feel so lucky to work with each & everyone of y’all ❤️ And lastly thank you to every single one of yall that pop by and visit. We’re nothing without regulars and truly appreciate all yall who have supported us over the last (almost) two years!! Doors from 2 Kitchen til 12 Bar Snack loves ya! 🥳🔥🫶

Bar Snack, located on the Lower East Side of NYC, was our first stop on our NYC @50bestbars residency and was our favorite of Day 1. It’s the No. 3 Best Bar in North America and we have a strong feeling it will end up on the next World list. We arrived for happy hour which is 2-6 Sundays-Thursdays and they had delightful food and drink combos. We got the Jerez Moment which included the ham plate, gilda stuffed olives and the Sherry Cobbler cocktail. The Sherry Cobbler packed a mighty punch, the Melonade was dangerously easy to drink and the ham plate was a perfect snack. We also tried the High Tide, a beautiful gimlet with a candied kiwi. We loved their ‘dressed up cocktails for dressed down people’ vibe and Laury, our mixologist, was wonderfully welcoming. It’s currently at the top of our list for favorite bars on this trip. . . . .#tastehunter #cocktails #newyorkcity #mixology #foodie

BAR SNACK - BEST COCKTAIL BAR IN THE U.S. by @tales_of_the_cocktail - unreal to think - as Rob said it very well in an interview, it’s Not not an Irish bar, not not a gay bar, just a bar! - a neighborhood bar for everyone and anyone. Also as Iain mentioned it, being called it’s just a bar” is one of THE BEST compliments (see their post for more on this). Bar Snack is a bar where you go and enjoy, at any time! - Because at any time Bar Snack is the right answer (in my humble opinion). I’ve sat down at the bar early right when they open for a meal and a pint. I’ve sought their company, food and snacks when I’m hangover in New York. And I have also enjoyed the Bar late at night until they close for the best vibes! - The bar is beautiful, the team is incredible, the offering is one of the best ones for a bar in the city. I’ll always be very grateful with Iain for inviting me to be a part of this project, way before there was even a location picked. I remember Izzy, Iain and I were in Ireland, and we talked about this project… Iain’s first bar in the US! Iain I’ve said it a lot, and you know it, ILYSM I’m so proud of what you and the team have built, and the way the whole team represents Bar Snack. What you have ALL created is incredible. Thank you also to @dsemanoff for all the support, all the love and all you do for our bar 💚. BAR SNACK ❤️… can’t wait to be back in NYC AND ALSO!!! - congrats to the best bartender in the US @takuma0w - love you so much my friend. Huge huge congrats, is always so good to be around you hermano Cheers!

Spritz’s taste better with your pinky out 💁‍♀️ @nickamanodolan made this delicious fig leaf vermouth (think earthy coconut deliciousness!) with @trickdogbar & @drinkveso that we turned it into the Blanco Americano 😍 It’s got some yuzu & lime soda from @fevertree_usa, bitters, wine & a few other tricks 🤓 But then he goes & moves to New York so we were like, ahhhh guess we’ll give the kid a chance & see if he can still bartend 😉 Come on thru & be the judge of it all for yourself. Just don’t forget, pinky’s out! Doors from 2 Kitchen 12 Games on in Little Snack Read lest ye be read or whatever they say 🤷‍♀️
