The wait is over, and we're delighted to welcome Lawrence Meju to the Akoje Residency.

After weeks of preparation, the studio is ready to be filled with creativity, curiosity and new possibilities.

Over the coming months, Lawrence, will spend time living and working at Dumfries House, exploring new ideas and developing their practice within this unique rural setting.

We can't wait to follow their journey and see how their time here shapes the work they create.

It’s been a week since we wrapped up @fairplayartfair and I’ve finally had the chance to reflect on the experience and go through my camera. So grateful to @ryan.stanier @daisymilward and the whole team for such a brilliant four days, and my first art fair! I loved the chance to show some of my bigger textile pieces again , and also some new drawings and watercolours. Thanks to everyone who came out, I learnt so much from the process. Some pieces found a new home and I had so many interesting conversations, but by far the best thing about it was the company I shared. I was so inspired by all the artists and you couldn’t have asked for a more talented or nicer bunch - I only wish I got to take more portraits ! You can still shop the fair for the next few weeks via the @fairplayartfair website. Don’t miss out!

A Saturday filled with art, inspiration and wonderful encounters.
I visited the Fair Play Art and it was an amazing experience! From discovering remarkable artworks at @fairplayartfair to a memorable supper with @charlotte_langridge.

Beyond the art itself, what made the evening truly special was the people I met. Meaningful connections, effortless conversations and the pleasure of being surrounded by curious, open-minded individuals.
Sometimes, the most memorable part of an art event isn’t just what you see, but who you meet along the way. ❤️

✨ NPA News | Frieze Week ✨

We’ve hit the art fairs! 🎉 It’s always exciting to see familiar faces, and this week we’re delighted to see both our alumni and new cohort members showcasing their work at fairs across London.

At Frieze London, NPA alumnus KV Duong is exhibiting with Pippy Houldsworth Gallery (Booth A21), presenting metal bed-frame works incorporating maps for the first time. The works explore Vietnam’s history, colonial legacies and questions of belonging.

Fellow NPA alumna Bex Massey is also exhibiting at Frieze with Seventeen Gallery (Booth D8), presenting Legs to ham on show, the rest concealed, 2026.

Over at Fair Play Fair, we’re excited to see new PDP cohort members Lawrence Meju, Marina Priyomova and Nazanin Moradi taking part.

It’s wonderful to see our artists sharing their practices and connecting with new audiences. Wishing everyone a brilliant fair week! ✨
