This year looked a lot like choosing differently. Steadiness over striving. Space over speed. Enough over more. Protection over proving. It asked a lot and gave back more. It cleared away some of the layers of comparison and clarified what actually matters to me. It taught me more of what I’m capable of as we endured yet another move as a military family. Another round of starting over. Allowing myself to feel the weight of packing up our lives (now with two kids) without also trying to pack in more work. To settle into a new place without rushing through the discomfort of not belonging yet. To let the people I love most need me without splitting my attention in half. And in between all of it, my work deepened. I continued weaving together words for caring creatives (re)launching, pivoting, and growing in the margins of their own full lives. Just like I am. Excited to take more of this cozy, intentional pace into the new year. 2026, let’s keep going.
