POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Friday Flatlay 📚- 10 before the end of 2026 edition 🗓️🎊

Hoping to get all these boxed off before the year is out 🤞 😂 plus many more but these looked like 10 that are believably achievable for sure 👌

1984 - George Orwell
Never Let Me Go - Kazuo Ishiguro
Children of Time - Adrian Tchaikovsky
Cloud Atlas - David Mitchell
Dust- Hugh Howey (this one requires actually doing Shift first 😂 but I’m determined)
Flowers for Algernon - Daniel Keyes
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? - Philip K Dick
A Scanner Darkly - Philip K Dick
Foundation - Isaac Asimov
Pachinko - Min Jin Lee

Isn’t it mad how your TBR priority changes throughout time? It seems to ebb and flow, but at the moment I’m well and truly exploring my love of science fiction, learning what sub genres of sci fi really do it for me, and having a great time along the way.

Have you read any of these, can you recommend or otherwise? 😬 let me know!

If I’ve tagged you, let us see 10 books you’re hoping to finish before the year is out 🙏

My lovely friend @vampsreads tagged me to show my favorite sprayed edges! 💜📚

After thinking about it, I’ve decided that purple sprayed edges might be my favorite overall, they’re always so gorgeous! 😍✨

Which one is your favorite, and do you recognize any of these books? ✨

I’m tagging some more of my friends to show me your favorite sprayed edges 😍🫶🏻

Side Character Sunday! 🤍

So it turns out I really do love a romantasy with a top tier side character.

These are a few of my favourite male side characters who completely stole the show for me. They also bring a bit of chaotic energy to the book, which I absolutely love. Sometimes they’re just as memorable (or even more memorable 👀) than the main characters!

✨ Taran - Kindreds Curse Saga
✨ Ridoc - Empyrean Series
✨ Fenrys - Throne of Glass series
✨ Messer - Fire and Metal Duology
✨ The Gargoyle - Knight and the Moth
✨ Carrion - Fae and Alchemy series

Stay tuned for my favourite female side characters! 😍

I’ve tagged a few friends to create their own Side Character stack, but as always no pressure!

QOTD: Who’s your favourite Male side character?

Go show her some love, trust me you won’t regret it💙

Happy release week to @sjleewriter and All That Holds Between, now out in ebook and paperback from the author! On behalf of everyone on the team at @42fold.studio, we’d like to thank S.J. Lee for trusting us to produce a special edition of this novella with case wrap and dust jacket by @margueritesauvage & merch drawings by @gracedesmarais . We’ve spent a lot of time with ATHB and it’s been a joy to see so many readers resonating with its message about the power of memory and how human beings are shaped by both love and loss.

Swipe for a selection of 5 star reviews from ARC readers, including members of our #Friendsof42 community! Stock is running low, but it’s not too late to preorder a signed special edition hardcover (and some merch!) via the link in our bio - we’ll have the shop open until May 1st.

🚲🍜 SYNOPSIS:
In Meiyu, people clip away their heaviest emotions and store them in memory drives so life can continue neatly and undisturbed. Lena is a courier who delivers these sealed fragments across the island, her days defined by routine, distance, and careful neutrality.

When one delivery goes wrong, a defective drive activates in her hands. The feelings inside are not hers and were never meant to surface. Ignoring protocol, Lena follows its pull through the city, through night markets scented with scallion and fried dough, into noodle shops, and the quiet generosity of neighbors’ kitchens, where lives brush against one another. With each step, the walls she’s built around herself begin to thin.

ALL THAT HOLDS BETWEEN is a gentle, speculative novella about rediscovering what’s lost, savoring what remains, and allowing life to hold more than function.

Okay, the ability to stack things in a pile to take photos is not a skill I possess but at least you can see everything 🤣 After a nice brunch catchup with @lazydaylibrary this morning we raided @collinsbooksellers_queanbeyan and I got two books, a new pin, another bookmark, and another @legami_milano pen featuring an alien!! Alas, it isn’t Rocky but one will make do 🤣 Cat Dragon by @sambirchwriter was recommended to me as a great cozy fantasy and I already had Dragons, Heists and Other Retirement Plans by @megpennerson on my wishlist thanks to booksta ❤️

And then @lazydaylibrary bought me this mug and isn’t it utterly brilliant! It suits me to a T! Thank you so much Amy ❤️ Swipe to see my two favourite mugs in my collection. Do you have a favourite mug or are you a normal person? 😅 What’s your drink of choice?

Black, White and Gold Stack 🖤🤍💛

Thank you @bookishlycourtney for tagging me in this one! Turns out I don’t have many good books, but I think I still made it work 🙈

I’ve tagged a few people to play along but no pressure :)

QOTD: Would you rather be able to read more books every year, or read your favourite book/series again for the first time?
