What a weekend. 🇨🇦➡️🇺🇸

26 members of Toronto Fire Hockey Club headed down to New York for a packed few days we won’t forget anytime soon. From catching the Leafs take on the Islanders, to paying our respects at the 9/11 Memorial, to hitting the ice with both our A & B teams — it was nonstop from start to finish.

None of this would’ve been possible without the incredible hospitality from @fdnyhockeyteam . The effort, the details, the way you welcomed us — truly first class. Thank you for giving us an experience we’ll remember for a lifetime.

Huge thank you as well to @g2hfoundation and @chrishagen71 for putting together such an unbelievable event. The 4th Annual Gerrin Hagen Hockey Day was something special, and we’re honoured to be a part of it for the second time now. Shoutout to @cityoflongbeachny and all the volunteers who make it happen — the sense of community is unreal.

Shoutout to @nassaucountypd and a very special thanks to @lbguardianshc for a great game. It was a pleasure getting to know some of you. Grateful for the memories, the competition, and the people who made it all happen.

☘️G2H MEMORIAL HOCKEY DAY | 2026 🏒

Gerrin’s legacy lives on in the heart of Long Beach.

This past Saturday, the community showed up in full force at the Long Beach Ice Arena. All standing together, remembering, and giving back. Two incredible matchups took the ice: FDNY vs. Nassau County, and the Long Beach Guardians vs. Toronto Fire, who made the trip down to be part of something bigger than the game.

From the youth clinics led by Coach Timmy Phillips to every puck drop, every cheer, every moment… this day was about more than hockey. It was about honoring Gerrin and carrying his spirit forward.

Thank you to all the sponsors, supporters, and everyone who showed up to make this day what it was.
