People move to small towns expecting a quiet weekend.
Fredericksburg didn’t get the memo.

4 events Friday. 6 Saturday. A burger cook-off closes it out Sunday. Wine dinners, a fall festival, a rum release, live music, more packed into this one weekend than some cities plan all season.

Screenshot & save this so you don’t lose it. You’ll want it Saturday morning. 👀

Follow along and you’ll never be the last to know what’s actually worth your time in the Hill Country.

Paid an overdue visit to @lbjstatepark and Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park last weekend and had so much fun. 🌳🤠🌼 I’ve called the Texas Hill Country home for almost 15 years, and it was such a treat to learn more about how deeply LBJ and Lady Bird were built and forever impacted by this place, as I have.

We had to skedaddle to make it to our next destination on time but best believe we’re gonna be paying more visits in the future, especially once the Texas White House Complex reopens next year! If you’re in or around Central Texas, add both parks to your list. 🖊️

PS. After visiting three national parks in one month, I’m newly enraptured with 1.) visiting them and 2.) my @nationalparkservice Passport. 🥹

It’s that quick… ⛈️

Flash floods can develop in an instant, and the change can be dramatic. Stay aware of the warnings and be prepared to act quickly.

Many state parks are currently closed due to flooding. Take a moment to check park alerts and keep an eye on weather conditions before you head out.

There’s just something special about the Fourth of July in Fredericksburg!🇺🇸

From lining Main Street for the parade to shopping local, grabbing lunch, spending the afternoon on a patio or at a tasting room, and ending the night with fireworks over the Hill Country—it’s one of my favorite days of the year.

Whether you’re a longtime local or visiting for the weekend, I hope you get out and enjoy everything that makes Fredericksburg such a special place.

Happy Fourth! ❤️🤍💙
