Last @deadly.dozen track race of the season and we went out with a bang 💥 Firstly it was doubles, Team Deadly Dykes..... with @proteinbars_and_ocrs .... not the best of times but we realised early on it wasnt a PB day so we slowed down a little, enjoyed it a bit more and saved some extra in the tank for the relay 😊 yet again as always she was the best partner and communication was on point 👌

Up next was the ruck relay with @proteinbars_and_ocrs @bex_sharpe and @coach_nikki_nmhf and what a ruck team we were! We are the first female team to ever take on this challenge 💪We took 2nd place overall along with non ruck and we are over the moon! Repping @yomp_co all the way!

Every month here at WoDLETE, we put the spotlight on our fantastic ambassadors.

This is the "WHY" of @lblambody

I have been into fitness in various forms over the years , playing rugby, mountain biking, and spinning but had children and spent a few years balancing a young family and a high pressured career that didn't leave time for much else. Years of operating in highly challenging environments and managing the needs of a young family nearly broke me.

4 years ago I made the decision to put myself first and do something for me to support my mental well being and do something where I protected time for myself. Training became my anchor – the one place where the noise switched off and I could focus purely on me.

Functional fitness resonated with me because it wasn’t about chasing aesthetics or quick wins. It was about feeling capable, strong, and grounded. Training gave me clarity, resilience, and a sense of control – things that matter just as much outside the gym as inside it.

That foundation naturally led me into doing fitness racing such as Hyrox ,I loved the structure, the discipline, and the demand it placed on me. It taught me how to pace, how to suffer productively, and how to train with intent, balancing the endless requirements of work and leaving something left for my family that wasn't tired and burnt out. Fitness racing gave me objectives to train for.

In the last 2 years I also took to bodybuilding and competing in shows, which might seem like a left turn, but it added another layer (not just a midlife crisis ,ha! ). It taught me patience, precision, and respect for the process. Learning how to build muscle, fuel properly, and recover well deepened my understanding of the body and made me a more well-rounded athlete and coach.

I feel this has been a natural lead into CrossFit , it has brought everything together. Strength, engine, skills, and community. It keeps training varied, challenging, and fun, while constantly pushing me to learn and adapt.
