Glasgow to Edinburgh 57 Mile Ultra Marathon 2026

After 7 months of blood(y nipples), sweat, and tears. I finally got the job done and completed the hardest challenge I've done and will ever face. It was an emotional rollercoaster, but with determination and a lot of vaseline, you really can do anything.

To go from the Michelin man in March 2026 to an Ultramarathoner takes a certain type of psycho.

Thank you for all the support and donations along the way. Never would I have thought we'd raise over £1500 for such an incredible charity in @lccatlineham

I've had to put you all through 22 weeks of reels. Luckily, there is only one more to watch, which will come later this week🫡💙

Might be time to retire....or do I have one more in me

Yesterday we hosted our annual Children, Young People & Families Careers+Placements Fair in collaboration with Leeds Trinity University School of Education and Childhood 🍂

We invited thirteen organisations to our Horsforth Campus to share their professional placements and roles with students interested in working with children, young people and families.

The event was a success with both undergraduate and postgraduate students making valuable connections and discovering active opportunities to apply for! 💫

A huge thank you to all the employers who came to our campus today and engaged with our students 🙌🏻

Come with us on a Content Day! 🎥

Earlier this week, we headed over to @lccatlineham for a busy day of filming, to support with their Christmas Campaign.

Our role was to capture the atmosphere of the charity, showcase the experiences available to the children and highlight the people who make these memorable visits possible. Through interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, our team helped LCC tell their story and show the impact of their work to supporters, families and the wider community.

Video is such an important part of showing people what your business or organisation actually does. It gives your audience a chance to see the people, places, products and experiences behind what you do, while giving you a bank of content to use across your social media and marketing campaigns.

Whether you need a one-off shoot for a specific campaign or ongoing content support, we can help you plan, capture and create content that gives your social media something to work with.

Thinking about video content for your business? Drop us a DM, we’d love to chat🙌🏻

The Empowered Sound singing retreat is back for a second year this October!

Last year we had the best time singing together, doing yoga, crafting and recharging in nature.

This year the retreat will be held at Lineham Farm in Leeds @lccatlineham on October 23rd-25th.

We’ll have yoga from @steph_bradbury_, an appliqué/patch making workshop and of course, lots of singing.

Hope to see you there 💜

Sometimes nature just puts on a show and you have to stop and take it all in.

Shot and coloured this while working as DOP for Leeds Children’s Charity promotional video.

Captured on the Sony FX3 + Gimbal + 24-70mm.

Sometimes, less is absolutely more.
For this exterior setup, I wanted to show just how minimal you can get while still achieving a beautifully shaped, professional image.

Here is the breakdown of this simple natural light setup:

The Key Light: We let nature do the heavy lifting! We positioned our subject so the sun provided a natural around light.

The Secret Weapon (Negative Fill): To stop the ambient daylight from bouncing around and flattening his face, we brought in a single black flag on the right side.

The Result: The flag eats up that extra light, introducing contrast, deepening the shadows, and giving the shot that three-dimensional, cinematic feel.

Shot on the Sony FX6.
It’s amazing what you can do with just the sun and a piece of black fabric!

“The power of Colour grading”

I had the absolute pleasure of working as DOP and taking care of the colour grade on “Stand Up For Childhood” for Leeds Children’s Charity.

Shot on the Sony FX6 with DZO Vespid Primes, alongside the FX3 with the G Master 24–70mm.

We were mindful of permissions throughout the shoot, so we kept the children’s faces to a minimum. Instead, we focused on capturing the atmosphere, the energy, and the small details that made the project what it was.

The colour grade was genuinely one of my favourite parts of the process. I loved shaping the tones and finding a look that felt warm, natural, and cinematic, while still keeping everything feeling true to the day.

Three days of shooting, plenty of footage, and a lot of little moments that came together to make something I’m really proud of. Loved this one. 🎥
