Let’s start with the main event… THE FOOD. 🤤🔥

Natty’s is renowned for its Caribbean flavours, and I’ve genuinely been travelling to Portsmouth since they opened just to get my fix. In my opinion, it’s hands down some of the best Caribbean food on the South Coast.

The jerk chicken box was outrageous: unbelievably succulent, completely deboned and smothered in one of the best jerk sauces I’ve tasted. Add rice and peas done properly, mouthwatering slaw, possibly the greatest cucumber I’ve ever eaten and two very healthy portions of plantain. 👌🏽

We also tried the curry chicken box with a side of mac and cheese and trust me, you HAVE to order that mac and cheese.

Southampton no longer needs to travel to Portsmouth for the experience and nobody is happier about that than me. 😂

You’ll now find Natty’s inside Good Things at:

📍 5 Canute Road, Southampton, SO14 3FH

Caribbean food, quality coffee, cocktails and late-night vibes, all in one Southampton venue.

Save the address because you’re going to need it. 👀🔥

These aren’t your standard, thrown-together cocktails…

Every drink is made with genuine attention, care and, most importantly, FLAVOUR. 🍹

The menu has some really unique options alongside a few classics, and everything we tried delivered. No weak measures, no cutting corners and no drinks that look better than they taste.

These are cocktails done properly and comfortably some of the best I’ve had around Southampton. 👏🏽

I can’t talk about a Caribbean venue without mentioning one very important detail…

THEY HAVE RED STRIPE ON TAP. 🍺🇯🇲

That alone deserves recognition but then the rum punch arrived. Packed with flavour and definitely had the kick you’d expect!

This place has SO much character.

Owner of Good Things Jay was kind enough to give us a warm welcome and a tour, talking us through the inspiration behind the interior. The design celebrates Natty’s heritage and the Windrush era while blending perfectly with everything people already love about Good Things.

It feels personal, authentic and genuinely homely, with every part of the space telling its own story.

An amazing us
