Venetian Fete 2026, our first ever float! 🎉 And you know what? We were going for best dressed… that was the aim (didn’t win it, even with 2 lots of bribes to the judges and making a leap of faith back to the boat… how very dare they!) But do you know what I’ve taken away most from the actual day, the float and everything that went with it? How many people came out and volunteered their time to support AGF We had seven people on the float, all willing to dress up, look silly and just bring the pure energy and banter that we wanted to give everybody. It was all about creating an atmosphere and making sure people had a good time. (Big up Libbie, Phoebe, Leon, Maria, Marie, Jo, Geoff and JJ) The right hand man, Jay, who whatever task I throw at him or whatever mad idea I come up with, just goes, “Yep,” and gets on with it. 😂 Even with the workload he already has going on in his own life, he’s always there Leesh (my partner) gets put under strain too, because she basically becomes a single mum whenever I decide to do these bloody things, with the amount of time and effort that goes into them 😂💙 And then Jojo, Georgie and Jayne, who stood at the stall all night, getting people involved with the raffle, talking to everyone, encouraging people to get into exercise and just being absolute legends! (Also Pete Nash, my mum, dad, Megan, Sarah who all help with the organisation too 💙) And that’s what I think I’ve taken away from the day more than anything It wasn’t the float itself It was the people The amount of people who were there simply because they wanted to be. Because they wanted to help, get involved, have a laugh and support the gym and the AGF brand I genuinely didn’t expect that to be my biggest takeaway. I thought it would just be about building a float and dressing up But actually, it was seeing everyone get involved, have fun and be willing to give up their time just to support something they believe in And honestly, I think that’s pretty bloody special💙 AGF wouldn’t be what it is without the people behind it

15th strongest natural junior and 117th strongest natural man in the country. We decided to take a step into the big leagues not even a year into Strongman and enter a national competition. Just a year ago little old me would've never even thought about attempting a big lift in the gym and now we're out here competing in BoxPark Liverpool in front of cameras and the very best in the country. When I say the very best, I mean it. The talent on show was unreal from all competitors and it has only inspired me to come back stronger @naturalstrongman_england Deadlift for reps - 210kg for 4 reps. Attempted a 240kg PB and wasn't quite there on the day... not surprising given I had about 3 warm up lifts but that's competition warm ups for you. Axle clean and press - 100kg PB. First rep wasn't actually given so had no choice but to send it for a double Husafell sandbag - 130kg for 57.7 metres. Very happy with this, huge mental battle this one for me. Thanks to @le_on4112 for the encouragement in those last 10 seconds Farmers carry - 100kg per hand for 10 metres, into 110kg for 10 metres, into 120kg for 10 metres in a minute. Best event for me by far, had seen some real talented guys drop these so knew I had to take my time Sandball over yoke - no video for this yet but I attempted the 140kg sandball having never even picked it up before and came so close to loading it... sadly didn't so decided to take 2 easy 120kg reps for some points. Cannot express my gratitude to @ali.griggs enough for the coaching and guidance he's given me, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him. Hugely proud of @le_on4112 for stepping up and competing aswell, absolutely smashed it out the park mate, big things to come. Massive thanks to @alisha___x and the adorable little Renley for the support on the day (and for putting up with us for 5 days), to Jay for always being there and to @samgroverpt and @lifewithleona__ for all the support and advice on the day. Also, thanks to @tomtheowens and @honeybadger_strongman90kg for taking the time to chat with me aswell when I was being a fangirl 🤣
