Since casual hosting clearly isn’t my ministry, what should I host next?

I promise to get more pics next time!

119 Years of Brotherhood. 10 Years of Bond.

This Founders Day hits different. From Chicago to Cape Town, I just celebrated a decade in Alpha Phi Alpha with brothers from around the world. 🌍

This bond? It’s deeper than letters. It’s support when I’m sick. It’s the first to test Musicade. First to show up. First to promote. First to stand next to you at your wedding.

That’s not just friendship. That’s Nu Rho. That’s Chicago Alphas. That’s Illinois. That’s The Midwest. That’s Alpha.

Here’s to the coldest and boldest brotherhood I never imagined, but always needed. 🖤💛

Over the last two months, the 3rd cohort dove deep into Black History and Philosophy in Chicago — exploring the roots, movements, and minds that shaped our city’s public affairs and cultural landscape.
From discussion on legacy, movements and our collective power, our speakers and modules reminded us that leadership is built on understanding where we’ve been to know where we’re going.
Grateful to our dynamic speakers, thought partners, and cohort participants who showed up ready to learn, question, and grow. The journey continues. 🖤

Thirty-four. A number I’ll wear with reverence.
To every soul who paused their day to celebrate mine, thank you. Your love did not go unnoticed, and I vow to pour it back with the same warmth.

There’s so much I could say, yet one truth lingers loudest… I wasn’t supposed to be here. But grace said otherwise. So I will continue to honor this year + this becoming by standing in the fullness of who I am.

Cheers to, well, me…

Happy birthday to me! 💕🎂
