POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

What does an AI Lab actually do?

Honestly? A bit of everything:
👾One day they’re creating PoC with cutting-edge models.
👾The next, they’re training teams to prototype with AI on their own.
👾Advising product. Partnering with research. Brainstorming with creatives.
👾Jumping on client calls to untangle the really complex needs.
👾Shipping internal tools that make everyone faster (and smarter).

They’re curious.
They’re sharp.
They’re kind of adorable.

Where deep tech meets real creativity.
Where experiments turn into impact.

And they’re just getting started 😎

Want to build the future of AI with us? Let’s talk.

(M)OTHERLAND . A multi-episode video installation documents artist Ruth Patir’s journey to fertility preservation, told from a personal, funny, and touching perspective. Patir @ruthpatir has created a richly textured, original body of work in recent years that merges ancient local archaeology with advanced imaging technologies. The exhibition (M)otherland charts a personal saga that began with a medical diagnosis. At 36, Patir discovered that she carries a genetic mutation placing her at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer. As an unmarried woman with vague thoughts about starting a family, she was immediately directed by the medical establishment to undergo fertility preservation treatments for a potential future pregnancy. And so, the artist found herself on two intersecting paths: one, involving checkups and monitoring, aimed at protecting her health; the other, painful and invasive, treated her as a mere vessel for childbearing. Patir decided that she would face the confusing new reality into which she had been thrust by documenting everything. The exhibition ends with a work created in the aftermath of October 7, as Patir’s personal story becomes part of a collective narrative of a shattered present. In the video Keening she resurrects the ancient figurines—some whole and others broken—into a procession of mourning, rage, and protest on the streets of Tel Aviv. Then as now, they embody the burdens of the female body, channeling the anxieties and hopes of women across time. The project was created for the Israeli Pavilion at the 60th International Art Exhibition at the Venice Biennale @labiennale , which remained closed. The project now debuts at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. @telavivmuseumofart

After a long journey, Ruth Patir’s ‘Motherland’ will finally open tonight for audiences at The Tel Aviv Museum of Art. Comprising a series of videos featuring digitally animated Iron Age fertility goddesses, ‘Motherland’ brings together ancient archaeology and advanced imaging technologies to reflect on the complex intersection of gender, motherhood, and the tensions surrounding fertility and reproductive rights in today’s world.

Many people worked hard on this book - including the whole team at Field Day Studio, 3Sisters, the curators Mira Lapidot and Tamar Margalit, Leanna Berkovitch - too many to name here, but thanks to everyone and happy the work will finally be seen.

Tonight ‘Motherland’ by @ruthpatir opens at @telavivmuseumofart! Order your copy here!

Holocaust survivor Bret Badihi was just 8 years old when the war began. To protect her, her parents sent her to live in the countryside with a woman she had never met before. Under a false identity, Bret survived there until the end of the war.

‏On this International Holocaust Remembrance Day, take a moment to hear Bret’s story through a short film produced by @thehivepro for @yadvashem (World Holocaust Remembrance Center).

‏Directed by @daniella_bokor, the film blends live action with 2D animation to bring Bret’s testimony to life.

‏>>> To watch the film on @youtube, follow the link in stories, or visit @yadvashem’s YouTube channel.

This is one of our favorite shots in Pisces because it perfectly captures the surreal beauty we aimed for in the film.
When Rona swims through Tokyo's fish market, it is a surreal moment delicately poised between dream and reality.
Omer and I visualized it from the very beginning of the film's development. It holds a special place in our hearts.

We are excited to share the first images of our newest book ‘(M)otherland’ by Ruth Patir, which accompanies her multi-part video installation at the 2024 Venice Biennale of Art. Based on documentary footage of her own experience undergoing fertility preservation treatments, (M)otherland layers the artist’s intimate storytelling with ancient archaeology and advanced image technologies. Laced with candid reflections and biting humor, (M)otherland addresses larger societal issues, such as the politics of gender and the body, and the hidden mechanisms of power.

When Patir was diagnosed as a carrier of the BRCA gene mutation, she began to use her iPhone to document her negotiation between important decisions related to her body, and broader societal pressures around female fertility, contextualized within Israel’s demographic obsession. Patir’s personal odyssey recasts the artist as an ancient “fertility figurine”, a type of female statuette that was widely common in ancient Judea yet one that has mystified archaeologists for centuries.

This book was produced in the months following the terror attacks of October 7 and the devastating Hamas-Israel war. In the depths of horror, Patir refused to open the exhibition until a ceasefire and hostage-release agreement would be reached, and dedicated the book “to all the women who have lost their lives in this vicious war – both Israeli and Palestinian – and to those who were left to pick up the pieces.”

As the exhibition has yet to open, the book makes (M)otherland accessible in a new form, including essays by the co-curators Mira Lapidot and Tamar Margalit, and additional essays by scholars Noam Gal, Keren Goldberg and a conversation between the artist and Eva Illouz. The book was designed by Field Day Studio, edited by Mira Lapidot and Tamar Margalit, and printed at Die Keure. It is available for distribution via Idea Books. Thank you to the entire team who worked on it, including the 3Sisters Studio, Piotr Filatov and Daniel Shamota, Jonathan Wasserman, Field Day Studio led by Zohar Koren and Idan Am-Shalem, Leanna Berkovitch, Daria Kassovsky and Yael Patir, Yuval Katz, Dana Meirson, Omer Tirosh.
