✨📚 TONIGHT! 📚✨

It’s time for Soirée in the Stacks!

I’ll be at the Cascade Library tonight at 7:00 PM with all three books in The Tales of Iryvalya series.

If you’re looking for a little magic, prophecy, hidden truths, found family, dragons, and a world you can disappear into for a while… come find me in the stacks. 🐉🌿

I always love getting the chance to meet readers in person, talk about Iryvalya, and connect with other people who simply love stories.

Hope to see you tonight!

🎧✨ IT’S HERE!!! ✨🎧

I am really excited to announce that The Tales of Iryvalya: Crossroads is now available as an audiobook! 💚🐉

The incredible Rosie Cusack has returned to voice the world of Iryvalya and its characters, continuing the journey she began with Bloodlines.

There is something incredibly special about hearing characters who have lived in my imagination for so many years suddenly have voices of their own. And now, listeners can continue Nyrieve’s journey beyond Bloodlines and step straight into Crossroads. 🎙️📖✨

The choices become harder.
The truths become more dangerous.
Alliances are tested.
And Nyrieve must begin deciding not only who she is, but who she is willing to become.

If you’ve been waiting to continue your journey through Iryvalya by audiobook… the wait is officially over!

And if Bloodlines introduced you to Iryvalya through Rosie’s narration, I would absolutely love to know what it feels like to hear the adventure continue. 💚

Thank you to Rosie for once again lending her talent and voice to this world, and thank you to every reader and listener who continues to journey through Iryvalya with me.

Crossroads is officially out in audio! 🎉🎧🐉

Volnyri,
LeAnn Kelley 💚

📚✨ I’m excited to be returning to Soirée in the Stacks again this year!

Join me at the Cascade Library this Friday, October 23 at 7:00 PM for an evening celebrating books, local authors, and all things literary. There will be many people dressed in their favorite character, but costume is not going required to come and enjoy!

I’ll be there with copies of all three books in The Tales of Iryvalya trilogy — Bloodlines, Crossroads, and Horizons — and I’d love to see some familiar faces, meet new readers, and talk books, dragons, worldbuilding, and probably far too much about Iryvalya if you let me. 😂🐉💚 I also will be coming dressed in theme!

There is something especially fun about spending an evening surrounded by books and people who love them.

If you’re in the West Michigan area, come say hello!

I cannot fully express how grateful I am to @carisahendrix / @lucydarlingmagic for sharing a picture of my kiddos artwork that they gave to Carisa/Lucy when we saw them live in Grand Rapids! Ivy was so nervous, but Lucy was so welcoming & kind that Ivy opened right up. It can be hard sometimes for neurodivergent kids especially (I know from experience with having it myself), but Lucy is just amazing! We are beyond grateful for that moment to help Ivy find more confidence in themselves with their art & I believe made a new core memory! Thank you Carisa & Lucy for this unforgettable moment! Also huge thank you to the Crewcy for working so hard to keep everything running so smoothly!

There is nothing quite like getting to meet someone who is an inspiration and brings laughter and joy to everyone! I went and saw Lucy Darling with my parents and got to meet her afterwards and give her the art I made inspired by her and she liked it! Not going to lie, I had happy tears on my way home! Thank you @lucydarlingmagic for this amazing experience! I hope to see you again!

My beautiful friend Erin.
I’ve waited too long to post this as she will be back in my chair soon but alas, she’s an absolute gem and an incredible talent.

Not only does she allow me to take control of her hair color but in these photos, I also styled her hair and did her makeup for her most recent @modbettieportraits shoot (one of my favorite photos from the session in the 3rd slide.)

But this lady is also an author! Her fantasy series is out as this gorgeous set and you better believe she will be back at @grcomiccon this year.

If you have a chance to meet her and pick up her books, don’t hesitate!

Two of my artistic interpretations of Lucy Darling! She'll be in my town tomorrow!

The first one is Lucy Darling in Murder Drones, second is as a Dragon, third is in Invader Zim, and last is in Hazbin Hotel! All done with alcohol markers.

Second is digitally drawn on my tablet.

I've seen people say, “No woman I know has ever had something like that happen to her.”

If you know me, you do.

I was m0le$ted as a child. I have been r@ped and SA'd as an adult. I have experienced s3xu@l harassment and degrading comments from people more times than I could possibly count.

For a very long time, I carried shame about those things. I don't anymore. The shame was never mine to carry.

I also didn't go to the police. Sometimes I was scared. Sometimes I was embarrassed. Sometimes I blamed myself. When I was a child, I didn't have the ability to advocate for myself, and by the time I did, too much time had passed.

I am not sharing this because I want sympathy. I'm sharing it because when someone says, “I don't know anyone this has happened to,” what they may actually mean is, “No one has ever told me.”

There is a difference.

Survivors are your friends. Your coworkers. Your neighbors. Your family members. They are people you laugh with, have dinner with, work beside and pass in the grocery store. Many of them have simply never told you what happened to them.

And when survivors watch the way another person who says she was assaulted is picked apart, mocked, blamed, investigated by strangers, or immediately assumed to be lying, we notice.

We remember why we were afraid to say anything.

You don't have to know someone's story to create a world in which they would feel safe telling it.

So, if you've ever thought you don't know someone who has experienced s3xu@l vi0l3nce:

If you know me, you do.
I am not ashamed.

Last night Joe and I had the honor of attending the Play Soleil fundraiser for THE PLAYGROUNDgr, and what a night it was! 🎪✨

If you haven't heard of THE PLAYGROUNDgr, it is a nonprofit organization working to support mental and emotional wellness in our community through play therapy, community events, workshops, and so much more. Their amazing work has already touched so many lives, and hopefully will continue to do so for many many years! If you have a moment, please check them out, whether you're able to donate, share their information with others, or simply learn more about the resources they provide. You never know who might need exactly what they offer. ❤️

The event itself was incredible. Everyone looked absolutely beautiful in their circus-inspired attire, and there was such a fun, welcoming energy under the big top. And Joe and I cleaned up pretty well too, if I do say so myself! 😉🎪

More than anything, it was such an honor to be there supporting my friend of 35 years, Susan. She is one of the most selfless people I know, and I am continually inspired by how much of herself she gives to helping others. Seeing what she and everyone involved with THE PLAYGROUNDgr are creating for this community makes me incredibly proud of her. ❤️

I also had the chance to meet some fantastic people who are doing meaningful things throughout our community. There was something really special about being surrounded by so many people who genuinely care about making life a little better for others.

And, of course, there were some phenomenal circus performers! One of them is someone I've followed and been friends with online for years, so finally getting to see her perform in person was especially exciting for me!

Beautiful people, incredible performances, a meaningful cause, and a whole lot of circus magic. 🎪✨

Definitely a night Joe and I won't forget. ❤️
