Today is Everglowings' 4th birthday 🎂

Some lessons I've learnt along the way.

1. Be authentic
Show up as you are. Be vulnerable, be honest. Your interactions and conversations will deepen, and your network will become solid. Life will flow better, your nervous system will be more regulated.

2. Always stay true to your vision
No idea or creation is too much. You won't be remembered for your a-b work. Be bold, experiment.

3. Have the audacity to dream big
Start small and build. Ask friends for help. Share resources and share skills and knowledge. Keep focused on the present momentum,and things will happen faster than you think!

4. There's enough room for everyone to shine.
Big up your fellow dancers in and OUT of your community. There's no space for comparison competition.

5. We are just working it out along the way. Don't be afraid to start something new from the fear of not being ready.

6. Collaboration is where the magic happens. Reach out to the people you admire. You never know what you'll create. If now isn't the right time, then ask again later.

7. Just because you're new to dance, doesn't mean you don't have a new perspective.

8. You're never going to please everyone. Not everyone is going to understand your perspective and approach. Be kind, be curious, be receptive to change.

9. Don't have the expectation or desire to look exactly like the teacher when dancing their choreo. Your body is different, your essence is different, your history and relationship to the music will be different. Use their movement as a toolbox.

11. There's never a silly question. Everyone benefits from them being asked, including the teacher. I always remember the students that stay curious.

12. Being boundaried is not selfish
Learning your boundaries and how to communicate them supports everyone. Not only does it mean open and honest conversations, but it gives permission for others to do the same.

Lastly...
It's just a dance class! Remember, dance is supposed to be about joy and expression.

INDIE

A little look back at Indie’s beautiful lace wedding dress. 🤍

The hem needed taking up and we also used the beautiful draped piece of fabric from the dress to create these gorgeous off shoulder sleeves.

I absolutely loved being able to use part of the original dress and turn it into something completely new, while still keeping everything feeling like it belonged together.

Thank you so much for trusting me with your wedding dress. You looked absolutely stunning and it was such a pleasure to be part of your wedding preparations. 🤍

Wishing you both a lifetime of love, happiness and lots of wonderful adventures together. 🥂
