The last week of my 55th year.
I was talking with @lee7006 in the gym and we agreed out 50’s have been kinder than our 40’s I think personally I have just begun to accept myself as the person I am.
I still struggle with life but my identity is more accepting- if that makes sense.
Age is a gift & as much as I thought it was just A number- it is more , it’s a privilege and I am grateful 🙏🏻

What a feeling to finally look back on 2022 🙌
Covid bashed and a return to normality .
Kilimanjaro finally smashed and more money raised than hoped for. 29 k from Eusebis and 103 k overall 🙏🙏
Not forgetting why we did it and in whose memory. Andrew Fairlie, never forgotten, his legacy remains with his restaurant and scholarship @hitscotland and @andrewfairlie1 ❤️❤️
Praying always that one day we won’t need to raise money for the incredible people @macmillancancerscotland ❤️
A year spent making new friends with my Kilimanjaro crew @jim.fairlie.snp .
Trained hard with @lee7006 💪
Motivation by the one and only @giovannaeusebi ❤️

Feeling overwhelmed by the generosity of people 🙌 With only 10 days to go before we arrive in Africa and get ourselves to the top of Kilimanjaro, the world’s highest freestanding mountain, I’m constantly reminded why the hell we are doing it. Firstly in memory of Andrew Fairlie, a gentleman who led the way in the Scottish culinary scene. Out with being a pioneer and shining example, he was the kindest of people, a very good friend to Giovanna and Eusebis, a man with the most infectious smile and very honoured to have got to know him and look after him when he visited.
Andrew summited Kilimanjaro in 2011, holding the world’s highest burn supper.
I Can only imagine the strength that it took to do so.
Life can be difficult, a million times more if you are dealing with cancer or a life debilitating disease or someone that you love is experiencing it. In the current world that we are in, diagnosis of such is becoming more and more prevalent. The work and care given by the likes of Cornhill Macmillan Hopsice in Perth cannot be under estimated. Please help us reach our group target 🙏🙏 and wish us luck xxx
