Want your player to swing faster? Watch this case study.

Baseline: 75 mph, a short backswing, an under-rotated pelvis.

He worked on the pelvis and trail leg, using a force pedal under the trail heel, and the longer backswing came with it.

Result: 5 mph faster, and it didn’t feel like he was hitting it harder.

A UK coach charging £50 an hour, coaching 25 hours a week, with a 20% facility cut, ends up £3,760 short of a £35,000 take-home.

Most coaches only find that out when their tax return arrives.

That’s because most coaches price by looking at what the coach down the road charges. Very few have ever worked out what they need to charge.

The Coaching Rate Calculator does that for you in two minutes. It’s now live for Hub+ members.

Enter your target income, hours, facility fees and costs. It works backwards to your minimum price per hour, after no-shows, time off, tax and NI.

Then try the price rise test. Move that same coach from £50 to £60 and he could lose 17% of his lessons and still take home what he does now.

Most coaches never raise their prices because they’re afraid of losing clients. Now you can see how many you can afford to lose.

Know your number before you set your price. Link in bio.

🚀 Want more clubhead speed and distance?

I’m running a FREE 30-Day Distance Challenge designed to help you hit the ball farther.

Comment “CHALLENGE” and I’ll send you the details 👇

Now, let’s talk about the release…

A huge part of understanding the release is understanding the direction of force being applied through the hands and how that interacts with the club’s centre of mass.

As that force direction changes, it creates the conditions for the club to accelerate and release through impact.

This is something I’ve spent a lot of time learning through the research of Dr Sasho MacKenzie and Dr Kwon, as well as directly from Jeff Mann and my coach Lee Cox.

14 days out from the @worldlongdrive World Championship 🌎🏆

Good to see these speeds showing up outside while still hitting quality shots 🚀

Two weeks to keep pushing. Looking forward to getting out to Reno and competing 👊🏻🇺🇸

Early in his career, Andreas Kali was probably the cheapest coach in Denmark: £12 for 20 minutes.

When a lesson went badly, he offered the next one for free. Then he went away to work out what went wrong.

“They came with a slice, and they left with a shank.”

Next week on The Coach Hub, Hugh Marr and Andreas sit down to talk about how they actually became coaches:

→ Why ball flight laws come before anything else
→ What six years on one system really involved
→ Why only 5% of what he thinks in a lesson gets said
→ How to judge who’s worth learning from

Useable Speed 🚗💨

When speed training it’s important to work out how much of your speed gain is useable on the course. Keep an eye on your delivery numbers & dispersion then push it as far as you can before it starts to become unusable. This will give you a good reference for your max RPE (Rate of Percieved Exertion) for your “Green Light” swing on course 🚦
