POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🤗Fun Fact: The first company I launched was called Debut Events. It was an event production company. I brought on my friend @deejaycurly to help (also a @ucsantabarbara student) and we hosted fun themed nights at bars. Curly was starting his DJ career at the time so we created the opportunity for him to be the featured DJ at our events.

💰We made a little bit of money, had a lot of fun and gained a lifetime of experience.

🥘I was reminded to share this story when my a memory popped up from 8 years ago of a Digital Media Dinners event I hosted. After launching my Social Media Marketing company, I knew that I wanted to also incorporate live events into the mix, plus I wanted to speak more and I learned from my events company that if I want to do something, I can create my own opportunities. I was the featured speaker and panel moderator at our dinner event that night.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🎤 I shared tips about social media branding, then I brought in speakers from @Groupon @Yelp and Mojo Pages to discuss online reviews and social media promotions for our panel.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🏆Creating my own events continued to be a part of my business model with my recent Marketing Success breakfast and happy hour events.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🙏I am grateful for having the opportunity to host events for my own business. I am considering bringing back my Digital Media Dinners event this year. Let me know if you would be interested in attending and what topics you would like to learn about.
