Very pleased to have worked out how to work syncopated single-pass brioche 😊😇😎

I’m test-knitting another lovely brioche shawl by @leelamary which features syncopated brioche - where you reverse which colour the knit stitches have 🧶🧶🧶

I like to use single-pass brioche on rows with no shaping, but hadn’t used it before with syncopated brioche.

This is a wrong side row, where I have two brioche purl stitches next to each other. On a right side row, you would have two brioche knit stitches next to each other.

Day 27 of my 30 Day Shawl Challenge is Carillon designed by @leelamary! As soon as I saw this shawl pop up on my feed, I dropped everything else I was working on to make it. Lace and brioche? How could I not?

This is my dear friend the brilliant, and kind Lane @real_lanebinkley. We are on the same faculty (for a few more weeks) and morning people to a fault so over the years when we both taught the 9am classes we would get to school extra early to have breakfast. That’s how we became the “Breakfast buddies.” We’d meet, eat and solve the world’s problems. Or try anyhow. She is also among the MOST #knitworthy of my friends so I made her the #lilialesshawl by the brilliant brioche master designer @leelamary. Knitted in @sweetgeorgia and @litlg singles, it is by no means #tvknitting but it sure is an addictive and beautiful pattern. Wear it in good health Breakfast Buddy! ❤️
