Thursday Night at the Gator!
Tonight’s Sales and any money you throw in The Great Blind Dog’s Tip Bucket are going directly to support Jasmyn King. @kingjasmyn was in a car accident last Thursday and is still in critical condition in a UPMC ICU. We posted her GoFundMe earlier this week, but we’re going to support her, and her brilliant daughter Maeve Willow, for as long as it takes to get our girl back. Jasmyn’s always been one of the strongest of us, but she’s gonna need every iota of community, and support and love her people conform around her.
So come pack the house tonight. The Blind Dog starts @ 7pm.

8 years ago when I attended my first Oglebayfest I never imagined attending as an artist. It’s an event I look forward to every year. This year marked a new favorite as my first time selling my work there. The community of artists in The Ohio Valley and Appalachia really make doing all of this so much sweeter. The support and kindness shown to me really make me thankful to be an artist in this place and time. Thanks to my parents @care_charlene for jumping at the chance to come help me run the booth, my lovely girlfriend who shines and strings 98% of the pieces @shanti.cycle, for the best neighbors including a million loans of the step stool and generally immaculate vibes @jesreger_watercolor @shapelessflame @wildheartmindi @mossylilgoblin, my Saturday fuel that was provided to me completely unasked by the angel that is @alexs.sourdough @xandra.pan, and to every friend and customer who stopped by to say hello, and to take some of my artwork home. I worked for nearly a month and a half exclusively to prepare and it was very much worth it. So continually impressed by all of fellow artists and vendors. I hope to be back next year and do it all again 🍁🍂🍃🪟🎨🖌️

Time to work on the new house @twobarbiesonedreamhouse for a little while and then get caught up on commissions! 🧡

This was the last time Randy Keener dropped by for a gig. Do you see that fire? These people? Do you see the big dumb grin on my face? Do I post pictures of myself on this account? Figuratively ever? I do not. It’s nearly impossible for me to make that face ( thanks Bell’s Palsy circa 2017 ). Did it help like 8/10ths of my favorite people were here this night, you better believe it. My batteries recharge via woodsmoke and good vibes. Do i give a hoot if it’s cold tonight? I do not, fire pit + courtyard heaters. Wear a cape, it’s a look that needs to come back. Bring a blanket. Hell I’ll bring extra blankets.
I might be a little excited, it’s possible I’m still riding the high from my sister’s wedding two weeks ago. y’all Pendleton county… talk about having the sauce… the bottomest bit of the rightmost panhandle… big tree energy. Seriously, I’m texting half my contact list. If I miss you, it’s because I have a lot to do between now and then. I should probably stop writing this.
Macy would like me to remind you it’s $2 Tuesday, so cheap beer and we made a couple pots of our French Onion soup which is a perfect first date or 42nd date soup and I will die on that hill. Toothbrushes exist people. I’m going to work now.

*for legal reasons, the Head and the Heart are not playing this tiny stage, i just can’t get this bop out of my brain
