Today, January 28th is International @Lego day, a day to celebrate the little plastic bricks that have captured the hearts and imaginations of millions. Danish carpenter, Godtfred Kirk Christiansen, first submitted his patent for the original @Lego brick in 1958. #smallbusiness #humblebeginnings #entrepreneur #weallstartsomewhere #lego #legoday #internationalLEGOday #internationalLEGOday2024 #legofan #AFOL #lego2024leaks #legoleaks

Modified LEGO Disney Up House 43217 using TWO sets.
So as y’all can see. I changed a lot of things in Karl’s and Ellie’s house. I wanted for Karl to have two chairs in the living area to show how he kept Ellie’s chair. I also moved the record player to the hallway beside the back door, to create more room for Ellie’s chair. I also added a dining area, Doug’s bedroom, and a guest room for when maybe Karl needs to babysit Russ when his dad’s out of town 😆
I’ll explain each room in more detail later.

Modified LEGO Disney Up House 43217 using TWO sets. I wanted to show Karl’s house and how it’s been harder for him to maintain since he’s gotten older.
(The mismatch roof tiles).
To be able to open the house like a book; I also had to change the roof plates on the back half of the building. This allows me to almost open the building at a 180° angle.
In a future post I’ll explain how I created the “support structure” for the balloons while still being able to close the house seamlessly without the beam in the way.
