POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Little throwback to the first Sunday of @leideniff! What a beautiful week to be a part of :))

The festival left me so inspired after seeing a bunch of amazing movies, sharing stories and meeting all these creative and inspiring people (and of course I left with the biggest list of films I definitely need to watch 🌝)

Thanks to all the filmmakers, visitors and volunteers who let me capture a glimpse of their LIFF-experience. And of course @leideniff for making this festival possible 🤍

Wild Horse Nine is a very entertaining film with witty dialogue and a cast that makes the material work. Still, it feels like Martin McDonagh is repeating the formula of In Bruges. The visually striking setting is a plus, but In Bruges has the edge when it comes to comedy and the chemistry between its leads. John Malkovich is excellent and Sam Rockwell delivers a solid performance, but the rest of the cast doesn’t add much that stands out. Overall, it’s a very enjoyable film with sharp dialogue, a distinctive setting and plenty to appreciate.

Wild Horse Nine is in theaters on November 5. Are you interested in seeing it?

On October 11 and 18, my film Third Time’s the Charm screened at @leideniff alongside other amazing short films ✨

Did I tell you about it beforehand so you could come watch? No❤️ (I forgot)

But fear not!! You can still catch my film during two other upcoming festivals on November 21 and December 12🕺 I’ll share more details as soon as I have them (and hopefully remember to do so this time)

I Love Boosters is a creative and eccentric film that can be entertaining at times, but often feels like it’s being weird just for the sake of it. It has a strong Nickelodeon sitcom vibe, with some jokes landing while others completely miss the mark. There’s plenty of creativity in its visuals and ideas, but the story is difficult to follow and ends up feeling rather messy. The result is certainly an unconventional film, though its chaotic approach doesn’t always pay off.

I Love Boosters is in theaters on November 5. Are you interested in seeing it?

Primetime offers a fascinating look at television during its heyday, showing just how stressful and morally complicated producing these kinds of shows can be. The film remains engaging from start to finish, supported by excellent performances from Robert Pattinson and Skyler Gisondo. Still it feels like there was potential for something more. Some questions remain unanswered and the film never quite digs deep enough into Chris Hansen’s psyche and motivations. An intriguing and compelling film that ultimately could have explored its subject on a deeper level.

Primetime is in theaters now. Are you interested in seeing it?

Club Kid is a fantastic film about a young man who has no interest in parenthood, only to find purpose and direction in life through it. Its story of personal growth and unexpected responsibility is not only beautifully handled but also genuinely funny and heartwarming. Combined with beautiful cinematography and strong performances, it becomes a film that succeeds on multiple levels. It’s a subgenre that can be incredibly effective when done right, and Club Kid is a perfect example of that.
