Thank you so much to everyone who set a toe in my booth, laid a finger on my fabrics, and saw what I had going on in my booth. I appreciate every kind word, conversation, and purchase. It’s lovely to see you all event after event, rocking my bags alongside many other great bag makers, indie dyers, designers, makers in general. Someone came into my tent and said “Makers Matter.” And I said, “hell yeah we do. You’re a maker, too. All of us here.”

Nothing gets done without our creativity, ingenuity, and the connections we make with our hands, materials, and other human beings.

Thank you to Catherine, Jessie, and the entire A Woolen Affair crew and to all of the lovely volunteers who kept us filled with snacks and took such great care of us.

Shout out to all the people who are finding out about my brand for the first time. Welcome!

And I couldn’t have done this event without my sister Traci. Love you, sis. Thank you ❤️

Apologies for not tagging everyone in the photos. My brain can’t recall some IG handles. 🙏🏾 Feel free to tag yourself. 🫶🏾

Today is 14th anniversary of Life Is Cozy 💕
I am so lucky to have this career. Thank you all for being a part of it!
It was fun to scroll back and find some photos from different stages of this rollercoaster of a job 🙃

In order of the carousel:
- Working on bulky scarves for my Etsy store, Kyiv, September 2012
- My first published pattern: Stormy Sky Shawl! It is forever free on Ravelry; yarn @mirasolyarns
- Worldwide Knit in Public Day picnic in San Francisco this year with more than 100 attendees 💕 Wearing Vita Cami with @seismicyarn
- My most successful pattern: Filoli Cowl, designed for @bayareayarncrawl with @peninsulayarn
- My least successful release this year: Milk Bun Shawl, yarn @retrosariarosapomar - no idea why it’s not doing well, but I really love this design and wear it a lot!
- Cinna Top love modeled by my most amazing friends 💛 my sample yarn is @knit_picks
- Vesna Tee, a design which was heavily influenced by Cinna; yarn @peninsulayarn
- Sock workshop for @thecraftersbox we worked on in 2020!
- And, of course, my book and my wonderful Book Launch Team in the midst of packing preorders this August 💕

Preorders have been shipped! 💪🏼

Omg, what a few days these have been. Wrapping, packing, signing, laughing, crying - we’ve done it all!
My amazing friends showed up again for ten hours of craziness. And my husband has probably hauled more boxes than during any of our numerous moves 🙃
What would I have been doing without these badass people, no idea! ♥️

If you placed a preorder, be on a lookout for it. If you haven’t, no worries! Preorders are going to be open until the official release day of August 25th, and now that the books are in my house, I will be shipping them out every few days.

One important note: we are down to the last few dozens of the handdyed bags. These bags were a huuuge labor of love and a similarly huuuuge pain to make, so once they are gone, they are gone!

Thank you for making this happen ♥️

Beanie Baby Taxidermy was maybe our most fun craft we’ve done so far and I LOVE EVERYTHING our Grown-Up Summer Campers made! We have only one more camp session left for this year, leather journal making in two weeks! There are still five seats left in the 2:00pm session if you want to sign up on our website. https://www.covenofstitches.com/shop/p/97ib1bfht5brthhzyhi3h9o10q0uc3

Good morning!
I’ve received so many messages asking about the bags, so let’s talk about them 💕

I don’t think any of us realized what we were getting ourselves into when we decided to make hand-dyed bags for the One Skein Knitting gift sets 🙃
What started as «Wouldn’t it be nice to include a project bag?» somehow turned into seven people hauling 5-gallon buckets, measuring soda ash, dyeing for hours, and using approximately 7349 clothespins to hang bag after bag to dry.

I wouldn’t change a thing.

One of my most treasured discoveries during this book project has been realizing just how many wonderful people surround me. These bags are a beautiful reminder that I could never have done this alone.
Each one is ice-dyed by hand in small batches, so every fold, burst of color, and marbled pattern is completely unique. They’re lined, have two pockets, and are designed to be a cozy home for your next project, whether you’re knitting on the couch or on the go. And the golden logos? Oh my ✨

To my amazing friends: thank you. This simply would not have happened without your help, expertise, encouragement, and willingness to say, «Sure, let’s spend a couple of days in your backyard dyeing hundreds of bags together» 🩷
And to all of you: thank you for taking these special bags home. Also, once they’re gone, they’re definitely gone 😅
