POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always kept stacks of books 📚on my nightstands. Stacks of books I had every good intention of reading but often ended up just collecting dust and acting as a wobbly pedestal for a variety of Kleenex boxes.
+ +
Then, last year, I saw an inspiring post from @leighbelz who flipped the script. Instead of stacking the books she *hoped* to read, she piled up the books she actually *finished* reading.
++
Inspired by her bookworm prowess, I decided to try the same approach in 2019 and set a goal to read one book a month. Then, as the seasons passed, much to my own shock and awe, I surpassed that goal and proudly completely 24 books, which are now currently on full nightstand #shelfie display the the next week. It’ll be bittersweet to clear things off for 2020, but I’m thankful to all the amazing authors and characters to allowed me to escape some of the year’s most challenging, overwhelming, and heartsick moments.

“It was profoundly depressing that the same things people were trying to get passed in the Senate back then, like reproductive rights, are still under fire now. Except they’re trying to revert all these things that have been put in place,” says actress @FullyRoseByrne, who depicts Gloria Steinem in FX's upcoming show Mrs. America. And while she has yet to meet Steinem in real life, she pretty much nails the feminist activist's confident grace. “She’s incredibly composed in the way she walks and talks and presents herself, so I was trying to capture that.” Link in bio for more. | Photographed by @robbiefimmano; Styled by @juliavonboehm; Story by @leighbelz.

At her grand father’s house, she got cold and I had no immediate access to blankets. So I gave her the fleece I was wearing. It turns out a large adult son’s regular fitting pullover is a giant Snuggie on a 6 year old.
