Day 40 of 40 ✨ Where do I even begin… For over a decade, I’ve relied on other people to make my business a success. Freelance contracts. Clients. Influencers. Brand budgets. My income always depended on someone else. And while I’m SO proud to say that I’ve made it this far, 10 years in self-employment! It felt like the right time to finally build something that was mine, a life that felt more aligned. I gave myself 40 days because it seemed like enough time to make something happen before I needed to think about earning money again. But I don’t think that’s this challenge was ever really about money! It was about recognising that I couldn’t build Anything But Regular until I became the person behind it. Over these 40 days I realised: That the words you repeat to yourself really do shape your reality. That comparison steals more dreams than failure ever will. That chasing peace is a far better goal than chasing luxury. That slowing down isn’t falling behind. And that the life we’re all searching for isn’t found in one big moment. It’s created through the small choices we make every day. For the first time in a long time, I’ve switched off the noise without feeling guilty and reset my nervous system. But most of all, I’ve had SO much fun creating content and connecting with strangers online who all have similar goals in mind. So…somewhere along the way I finally understood what Anything But Regular actually means. It’s not just a business name. It’s permission to question the path you’ve been told to follow. To build a life and career that actually feels like yours. To create something that gives you freedom, not just financially, but mentally too. And THAT’S the community I want to build. A space where people feel brave enough to challenge the norm, think differently and realise they don’t have to live someone else’s version of success. So no, I didn’t hit a money goal. But I found something much more valuable. Clarity ☁️ And somehow, that feels like the best place to start. Thank you for being here for every plot twist over the last 40 days. This is only the beginning. 🤍🥹 (I’m not crying you are 🥲🤪)

✨ something a little different here at spread hq last week ~ some mini christmassy snacks all wrapped up, gift tagged + posted to manchester to be included in @ownd.jewellers’s influencer postal launch of their new 18k collection ~ another reason why BRANDING is so super important + gives you further opportunity to collab with other independently owned businesses that aren’t necessarily in your sector cause if your vision matches WHO KNOWS WHAT YOU COULD END UP CREATING ✨
