Altar will opens its doors tonight.

Headlining, we’re proud to be welcoming electronic legends Simian Mobile Disco for a very special DJ set on our Altar soundsystem in the basement. It’s going to be an incredible way to introduce you to the space and we cannot wait.

Supporting SMD will be a selection of impeccable DJs taking turns on the decks over both floors, including Worldwide FM’s Kate Hutchinson and local selectors Pempsey (Disco Exotic), Simon Purnell (Leng Records), Charli Vos, Dom John, and Close Up Things.

Entry is free all night, but will be first come, first served.

We open at 5pm and close at 3am.

PLEASE NOTE: We’re expecting a busy one for our first public gathering and reveal of both floors of the venue. We strongly recommend arriving as early as possible to avoid disappointment and secure entry.

Please note, when one floor in the venue becomes full we will operate a one-in, one-out policy in that specific space. If you’ve entered the venue and wish for outside space you will get a stamp for limited time re-entry.

See you all soon.

Last weeks MFSP show is up for listen back over at rovr_live
It’s a tribute to Claremont 56 Records who celebrate 20 years in the game.
Not easy to pick 20 of my favourite tracks as they put out so many good tunes that I’ve played in that time.
Hats off..
Check their Bandcamp page for 20th Anniversary boxset.

In Search of Atlantis · John Keating

Psychemagik Presents: Magik Sunset, Pt. 2

℗ Leng Records

“In Search of Atlantis” opens *Psychemagik Presents: Magik Sunset, Pt. 2*, a 2015 compilation of rare and obscure recordings selected by the UK duo. The track was recorded in 1972 by Edinburgh-born composer John Keating but remained unreleased for more than four decades. Its electronic, orchestral and cinematic sound fits naturally alongside Keating’s better-known *Space Experience* work from the same period.
