4 hours of vail 🥇

I was looking forward to rocking this super sick @teambaghouse x @pedalmafia kit at the filthy 50, but sadly I was sick and couldn’t race. Made sure to get redemption this weekend and get on the box. Pretty Solid ride with 55 miles and 8 laps🔥 thanks everyone for the feeds. 📸 @bentomphotos

June

Really good times this month. 3 of the 4 weeks of this month were spent traveling and racing on the road with @bearnationalteam . Had a bit of a breakthrough in terms of performances in Canmore and Missoula. Feeling super good on the bike and I couldn’t ask for more. Traveling with @bearnationalteam is always a good time and always creates some fun memories. This has been the longest I’ve ever been away from home and I’m very grateful to be able to explore this world with my friends while focusing on something I love to do. It’s very special.

My racing mindset is continuing to develop and I think I took a big step in the right direction this month. At Missoula this realization kind of came upon me.

With all the other stuff going on in the world right now, why the hell would I be nervous for a bike race, out of all things?

All I’m doing when I race is riding a bike fast. It’s honestly a very trivial concept and it doesn’t need to be overcomplicated. The thought of being nervous or scared for such a thing started to seem a little silly all of the sudden. I was honestly just so happy to be racing my bike and having fun in Missoula, which I believe caused the race to be one of the least mentally tough in a long while. I was able to think clearly while I was racing and not get caught up in the chaos, which helped towards the best result this season yet with a P4. It’s cool to see a direct result of my developing racing mindset and I’m excited to build upon it!

This month concludes the 2025 U.S race blocks and now we have all eyes on Nationals next month as well as some more good times in the second half of the season! Locked in for it! 🔒

Another pretty uneventful month. After a good race in Wisconsin I locked in to another solid training block. A little less volume, a little more intensity, and a lot of maintained aerobic work because my XCO fitness has been liking that a lot this year for whatever reason. I’m excited to see how I fare in the summer block starting mid June!

I have to admit it’s been hard to not make it on the USAC trip to Europe. My goal for this year is to make it over there to race. I know I can do it. It just hasn’t been in the cards so far, but that’s okay. At the end of the day even if I don’t pull a rabbit out of a hat in the next couple months and make it to worlds it’s just one season and there’s a lot more opportunities down the road! I also learned that you could just sign up somewhere for all the Europe races, regardless of if you’re on a USAC trip or not? That came as a shock to me. I need more information on how to do that next year because the racing over there looks so fun.

It has also dawned on me that I will be heading off to college in around 2 months. It’s weird knowing that your home of the past 17 years will not be where you spend most of your time anymore. All my first semester classes are online, so I suppose I don’t have to leave. But I already have a dorm with my name on it so not showing up would probably break some rule. I’ll figure it out as I go.

One last Rodeo with @orcuttmtnbiketeam

Thank you to all the coaches that helped me get where I am today Julie, Eddie, Bob, Nate, Gorge, Dad. Had some great memories with you guys and can’t wait to see where the program goes.

Thank you coach Terri I can’t express how much I respect and look up to you, thank you for all you have done for me over the last 3 years, I’m truly grateful and blessed to have called you my coach.

Time to progress alone and see where this path takes me, I can’t be more thankful for the last 2 years with OMBC.

Thanks for all the support over the years.
