3 years since, and a sista is still here!

There was once a time so dark, that I felt that no longer being here was the best option. Though life will always present challenges, deciding to stay has certainly been worth it. Interestingly enough, grief is showing me there is so much to stick around for. Having 15 friends show up at my door the week my Mom passed showed me how much love is around. My students having lightbulb moments with bevels and hip isolations make me extremely grateful to be a small part in shaping them. My family passing down recipes and heirlooms makes me aware that I am part of something bigger than me. Here are a few moments I am so happy I am here to have experienced.

Suicide is not selfish. When someone is in that level of pain, all they want is for it to stop. And sometimes, ending can seem like the only way out. To anyone going through that, I understand, and I urge you to reconsider. Whatever it is, whenever it is, message me. You are never alone, and there is so much joy waiting for you on the other side of pain.

He insists on purring face to face with me at 5:30am, but wouldn’t have it any other way 🫶🏽

🌟 MEET YOUR JUNE BOOTCAMP FACULTY! 🌟

We’re thrilled to welcome Leon Glover as a Masterclass Teacher for this June’s Dance Molinari Be Broadway Ready Bootcamp! 🎭✨

Leon Glover is a strong Black & Queer teaching artist, theatrical storyteller, and creative originally from the sunny beaches of Miami, Florida. He is a proud alum of the Theatre Division at New World School of the Arts, a member of Actors’ Equity Association, and a Friend of Dorothy.

After working with students of all ages at French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts and Long Lake Camp for the Arts, Leon caught the teaching bug and has continued inspiring young artists through companies including Brooklyn Acting Lab, Applause NY, AfterWork Theater, and Broadway Arts Education. Most recently, he has continued his work with Gotham Chorus, whose collaboration with Leon has earned top awards at competitions internationally.

Leon can often be found on both sides of the artistic table—collaborating, challenging, and spreading joy to as many people as he can. His select theatrical credits include Hair, Young Frankenstein, Newsies, A Chorus Line, Dance Out: Neverland, Mean Girls, and Songs for a New World.

Leon is thrilled to have his little place in the Dance Molinari family—a place where he can hang his hat and happily call home. We are so excited for our students to learn from his artistry, passion, and heart this June! ✨
