Fight to Survive 🌅

Not every battle is seen.
Some are fought within.

I may be tired, but I am not defeated.
Still here... and that's a victory.

If you're still here too — I'm proud of you. 🖤

⚔️ 30 DAYS CHALLENGE — DAY VI ⚔️

THE GODS COULD NOT GIVE ME TOMORROW

Character: Kai | 47 Ronin
Prompt #6 — Pain cost me time.

They called him an outsider.
The world taught him to survive.
Honour taught him to sacrifice.

But love taught him what all those years were worth.

He could face dragons, demons, kingdoms and death itself.

Yet nothing could prepare him for the cruelty of a lifetime he would never share with the woman he loved.

For what is victory to a man who cannot grow old beside the one who made living worthwhile?

I DID NOT CURSE THE SWORD.
I CURSED THE CLOCK.

Because love was never the wound.

Tomorrow was never a place.

IT WAS HER.

AND I WOULD CROSS TEN THOUSAND LIFETIMES
TO FIND MY WAY HOME.

🖤⚔️🥀❤️‍🔥♾️

Day 9: faith made me blind (poem below as well)
I’ve told you about the ache behind my ribs by @thedreamerexists

#inspiration #poemsofinstagram #30daychallenge #mpvprompts

The Things a Pulse Cannot Tell You
I’m always checking for a pulse. Just to see if you’re alright, and sometimes to double-check your sincerity.

It’s not that there’s a lack of trust between us. It’s just that I know there’s always something you’re desperately trying to swallow, something you’re trying to hide.

Except, I’ve already told you about the ache behind my ribs. The one that lives where my heart used to be. I’m just trying to say there’s no reason to hide your darkness. I’ve already shaken hands with it.

I know of faith and its blindfolded secrets. I know yours wanes every time you draw another breath.

And perhaps that’s what frightens you most about it all. Not that I’m able to see you beyond your walls, but that I recognize every inch without asking you to explain the thoughts cementing them.

I know what it means to become fluent in silence, to smile with lips that have forgotten how to tell the truth. To swallow every confession until the body becomes a graveyard for things never given the chance to live.

I hear your pain in the pauses between your words, in the hesitation before every answer. I wonder how long you’ve mistaken endurance for healing, how long you’ve called yourself strong simply because nobody has witnessed you falling apart.

Because sometimes, darkness settles so quietly that you begin mistaking its presence for your own. And one day, you look in the mirror and cannot tell whether you’re seeing the person who survived or the thing survival turned you into.

That’s why I check for a pulse. Not because I doubt you’re breathing, but because I’m afraid you’ve become so accustomed to being alive that you’ve forgotten what it feels like to be here.

And if your faith is waning, if every breath feels less like a promise and more like a debt you never agreed to owe, let me settle it with the universe.

I’ve already shaken hands with the darkness, remember?

It knows my name.

But I am still learning yours.

The most dangerous kind of faith is the kind that convinces you to stay when everything around you is falling apart. The flames aren’t what destroy you. It’s believing you belong in the fire.#mpv_prompts #30daychallenge #poetry#originalwriting#poetrycommunity

The biggest revelation comes when someone doesn’t react the way you expected. No tears, no fight, no regrets. Just the end of a performance. 🎭 Day 8 poetry prompt response • I was only pretending #poetry#mpv_prompts#30daychallenge#originalwriting#poetrycommunity

Love can be reckless in its search for belonging. What can’t be found or repaired may need to be built from the ground up. 🖤 Day 7 of the 30 day challenge •reckless love #mpv_prompts#30daychallenge#poetry#poetrycommunity

After years of emotional mismanagement, I’ve decided it’s time for some internal restructuring. Certain departments have been relieved of their duties. Effective immediately. No hard feelings. Just business. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣 My day 6 prompt response- Pain cost me time #mpv_prompts #30daychallenge #poetry#poetrycommunity #originalwriting

I spent too long settling for just enough. Surviving is no longer satisfying. It’s time to savor what life has to offer. 🍫 Day5 prompt response #mpv_prompts#30daychallenge#poetry#poetrycommunity#latinapoet

Some insecurities never truly disappear. You learn to bury them, keep them quiet, and move forward. But every now and then, those little bastards try to crawl back out. 💀😂 Day 4 response to @mpv_prompts 30 day challenge #mpv_prompts#30daychallenge#poetry#poetrycommunity#originalwriting
