We’re thrilled to announce that 𝐧𝐚𝐯𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐦𝐚 is welcoming @iongnatiuc (@haidocproductions) as a co-producer.

It feels almost like something out of a sci-fi story that this collaboration is finally becoming a reality. We’ve known Ion for a very, very long time; since the days when all of us were finding our way in Cluj, trying to figure out who we were and how we wanted to grow.

We’re equally happy to share that this collaboration has been strengthened by the support of @cncmoldova, news we received only very recently. Our deepest gratitude to @cncmoldova and the juries for their trust and support!

We’d also like to once again thank everyone who has supported the project along the way (and who patiently listened to us complain every time we ran into yet another challenge)!

unavailable by Kyrylo Zemlyanyi will have its North American premiere at Palm Springs International ShortFest!

This news is especially meaningful to us, as we presented Kyrylo’s previous film, re-record, at the festival back in 2023.

Palm Springs International ShortFest is the largest short film festival in North America and an Academy Award-qualifying festival, now taking place for the 32nd edition.

And a reminder: unavailable is also nominated for the Golden Dzyga, the Ukrainian Film Academy Award for Best Short Film. 🎬✨

A few months ago, we decided to take our work in progress project, nava mamă, on a bit of a tour and go all in, so we joined three events: @dokleipzig Co Pro Market, @filmfestivalgr Thessaloniki Agora Pitching Forum and @institute_of_documentary_film East Doc Platform. We were hoping to find partners to help us move the project forward, co producers, sales, moral support, anything really.

The big surprise? Not only did we meet amazing potential partners, but we also won the main awards at both DOK Leipzig and Thessaloniki (@ieftf_org). Then last week, we went to East Doc Platform without even realizing we were eligible for any awards… and somehow, we won again, the HBO Award (thanks, Hanka Kastelicová!).

We’re taking a little break from workshops and markets now to focus on actually making the film, carrying with us all of you who chose to support it. Thank you so so much, we will do our best to bring this film to life! 😍🖤
