GAME CHANGERS — ONE PAIR AT A TIME 👟🔥

I just got to bless Wes Lane.

Wes has been a mentor and a great friend of mine since my father passed away in 2006. He’s been there for me every step of the way. He’s seen some of the highest moments of my life and some of the lowest—and through it all, he has always spoken wisdom and life into me when I needed it most.

Today was different.

Today, Wes got to see the new Scott—the man who came down from those mountains changed.

And, as usual, Wes spoke wisdom and life into me. But today he spoke some incredibly powerful words over me that I’ll never forget.

Wes, watch what I do with this mission.

We’re going to change the game in people’s lives—and we’re going to do it one pair at a time. 👟🔥

Wes is also the founder of SALLT Leadership and previously served as Oklahoma County District Attorney. He has spent years pouring into leaders, and I’m grateful he chose to pour into me.

Today, it was my turn to bless him.

Change a life. Change the game.

Had the pleasure of speaking today at the Oklahoma Partnership for Expanded Learning (OPEL) event at TCC West!

Today’s conversation focused on the important role educators play in our communities and how they can help us build and strengthen the pipeline of future healthcare professionals. By introducing students to new possibilities early, connecting them with mentors, and creating hands-on opportunities, educators can help students begin seeing themselves in careers they may have never considered.

It was also great to hear from other speakers throughout the day, including Tristy Fryer, OPEL Afterschool & OST State Lead, and Les Thomas Sr., the “Hype Man of Hope.”

Thank you to OPEL and TCC West for bringing educators and community leaders together to share ideas, build connections, and continue creating opportunities for Oklahoma students.

Want to help us introduce more students to healthcare careers? Send Youth Medical Mentorship a message to learn how you, your school, or your organization can get involved.

Tomorrow, ERC is honored to welcome @marcuskadencejackson and @lesthomas.sr of @urbanbridgenow!

Together, we're finding tangible ways to make REAL impact through service. And that starts with highlighting the folks already on the ground making the difference in our community.

Join us at ACFOK's Garden Oaks Community Center at 5:30 p.m. and bring a friend (or a few!).

HOPE HAS A HOME AT MILLWOOD. 💙

Les Thomas Sr. is in his 19th year of serving Millwood students—and this year, Hope Culture Leadership has a room of its own.

About 70 students gather with us each week across two lunch groups. Now we’re inviting you to help turn their space into a welcoming place for mentorship, connection, and leadership.

Our $2,500 goal will help provide fresh paint, inspiring murals, three round tables with chairs, extra seating, a sound system, and organized supplies.

Help students walk in knowing: “I belong here. My voice matters. My future has purpose.”

Donate at (LINK IN BIO) and include “Hope Culture Leadership” in the donation note.

The compass was invented before the clock. 🧭

I heard a wise person explain why: direction matters more than how long it takes to get there.

So stop checking the clock. Check your compass.
Slow steps in the right direction still get you there.

Send this to someone who feels behind.

Because YOU CAN 🏁
