EXCITING NEWS! 🔥

AnomalousCo is casting a new project!

Casting cis women, transmasc, nonbinary, and genderqueer performers whose experience of gender is informed by having been raised and socialized as female.

This production approaches all gender as drag—stylized, performative, camp.

We are especially interested in multilingual, intergenerational, immigrant artists from the global majority and from a range of cultural and diasporic backgrounds.

We are seeking multidisciplinary performers with professional performance experience across the following disciplines:

-actors
-musicians & singers
-dancers & movement theatre artists
-burlesque performers
-aerial artists

I had so much fun stepping outside my comfort zone onstage and in front of a camera for the amazing Oleksandra Sereda (@s.seredd) and her short film “How Much For A Smile?” I loved experiencing how everything works behind the scenes of a film with the amazing SUNY Purchase film students. @purchasefilmbfa
This film shows such a powerful message behind it within a few minutes, and the talented cast and crew made amazing things happen onscreen. Can’t wait to see the finished product! I met so many talented and creative people, and thank you all for hanging out with me!

This March, we are celebrating four years of AnomalousCo in New York City. Grateful to our core team, ensemble, and all the artists with whom we have had the pleasure of collaborating along the way.

Grateful to our audience for following us, and to our colleagues in the NYC community for embracing our feminist immigrant ensemble and seeing us.

To our supporters and foundations who believe in us and entrust us with their financial support.

To our Advisory Board, who came together in 2025 to help us bring our theatre of conscience further out into the world, and our work deeper into the communities we strive to support.

AnomalousCo in NYC is not a business — it’s a group of people (mostly female identifying feminists and their male allies) who came together to contribute their time, resources, thoughts, energy, and artistry to the collective movement against patriarchy, oppression, and systemic injustice.
